    Pregnancy

Your husband can’t sponsor them. There is no sponsorship for normal TRVs. Whether they can visit is primarily determined by their own profile. No matter what the GCMS notes your best options is to only apply for your mother to visit or file for a supervisa for both your parents. Those are...

Work Permit Advice While Waiting to Apply for H&C (Refugee Claim Ineligible under safe third country agreement)

You have other issues on top of not qualifying for a WP since H&C processing times are incredibly long (years) and does not prevent removal. The program will hopefully be reformed soon since the program is a mess but that may also end up being problematic for you.

Urgent : Supervisa Query for bank transactions

Proof of liquid cash should be included. Given the concern about the transfer yes I would explain and if necessary provide proof of where the funds come from if you think further information is required. Tough to comment without knowing how much and their regular bank balances and transfers and...

Visa renewal vs spousal sponsorship ?

In your next TRV application would mention that you have delayed your plans to settle in Quebec because of the spousal sponsorship closure. Would then explain your plans with your spouse including who will work where, how frequently you will be traveling, where you will have homes, etc.

Overseas spouse and dependents of protected person and convention refugee timeline - Share here

Processing for dependent family members abroad after you get PR can be quite lengthy. There is some variability when it comes to processing times abroad but sadly you are likely looking at years in most cases.

Overseas spouse and dependents of protected person and convention refugee timeline - Share here

Think there may have been some miscommunication. Your dependent family members are included under your PR application but they will only be processed after your PR is approved and there is a new waiting period before they get PR which is quite long.

Crossing into Canada by Land with Newborn (No Passport or Birth Certificate Yet)

If from Ontario and recently moved (past 6 months) then you will also not have been compliant with the terms of OHIP if outside Ontario for over a month in the first 6 months and you would have to reapply. Hopefully you didn’t access healthcare through OHIP before returning to the US if that is...

Visitor visa rejection of my and my husband

Even paying to consult a lawyer is extreme for a TRV denial. Settlement means very little it will be redetermined by another agent. Maybe saves a little money but still thousands for a lawyer to prepare the JR.

    Tourist visa for minor nephew

There are better options and often valid reason for denial. Is a nephew visiting Canada foe a few weeks like a regular tourist worth the thousands going through JR without a guaranteed outcome? Likely not.

Parents & Grandparents Program (PGP) 2023

It is purely procedural sent sometime after eligibility.

Visitor visa rejection for parents several times

JR is a very extreme and expensive response to a TRV refusal.

    Tourist visa for minor nephew

Not realistic for most to pay thousands of dollars and wait a long time just to see if TRV will get reassessed.

    in land spousal sponsorship

If your spouse is in Canada and accompanying you unless you have a non-points related reason for your wife is filing as non-accompanying you need to file as accompanying. Days of IRCC allowing spouses to be listed as non-accompanying while living with you in Canada are over.

Citizenship application REFUSAL for residents in Quebec with PR obtained through EE

The big issue is that IRCC is not just rubber stamping every application and they are actually attempting to crack down on people not following the rules. It is really tough to predict how IRCC will address cases and just because they didn’t pursue cases in the past doesn’t mean they won’t in...
