Can my wife apply for the BOWP as an accompanying spouse in a PR application? (PLEASE HELP!)

If living in Quebec the government has made it quite clear that they will require economic immigrants to have a certain competence in French. It is unfortunate that she has not been learning French or at least trying to learn French like many people are across Canada. You could have avoided a...

Inland Spousal Sponsorship – Cohabitation Proof Question (Rental Agreement with Family Member

You can include things like phone bill with your name and address on it. Scene card is a points collection card so not a very strong proof of address.

SOWP living in a different province from principal applicant?

The wife only got approved in order to join their husband in Canada. Family reunification is the goal of SOWP and study permits or TRV for children. Why is the spouse not moving to live with their spouse? Of course they won’t qualify for UHIP. If doing a postgrad in Ontario there is a good...

    Study Permit Refused under R216(1)(b)

How old are you and have you been working since 2023? What has been your role? Would order GCMS notes but would agree that this screams I want to immigrate not study. Assume you are aware there is no guarantee of family sponsorship so if your goal is immigration you will need to make longterm...

Or I provide realistic and correct information. You are not even aware of different processing options. While expedited processing used to take 6-12 months now fairly common for it to take over a year. For normal processing 1-2 years was common a few years ago but due to the backlog over 2...

Nothing you can do. IRCc evaluates cases to determine if they qualify for expedited processing and will notify you if you qualify.

Can my wife apply for the BOWP as an accompanying spouse in a PR application? (PLEASE HELP!)

You can certainly try but not sure that is an acceptable answer. Same as saying you didn’t include your spouse because it would have reduced your points. Your spouse should have been learning French if she was with you in Quebec and knew you were applying for PR. If she hasn’t learned French she...

Can my wife apply for the BOWP as an accompanying spouse in a PR application? (PLEASE HELP!)

So how are you going to argue she is non-accompanying and your file shouldn’t be reassessed with her accompanying if sent a PFL?

Can my wife apply for the BOWP as an accompanying spouse in a PR application? (PLEASE HELP!)

There is a bigger issue. If IRCC and/or Quebec sends you a PFL saying they don’t believe she is non-accompanying and requires her to be added to your application as accompanying. How long has she been in Canada? Is she a visitor or has she had other status?

After PR approval how much time I have to enter to Canada?

Of course you’ve completed your medical but as I specified the COPR expiry date is one year after your medical. Assume you received a passport request before you submitted the passport. If so just wait until your passport is stamped. You will see the expiry date of the COPR when your passport is...

Your COPR has an expiry date. It is typically a year from the date of your medical. You need to land before the expiry date.
