    Think there may have been some miscommunication. Your dependent family members are included under your PR application but they will only be processed after your PR is approved and there is a new waiting period before they get PR which is quite long.

    Even paying to consult a lawyer is extreme for a TRV denial. Settlement means very little it will be redetermined by another agent. Maybe saves a little money but still thousands for a lawyer to prepare the JR.

    If your spouse is in Canada and accompanying you unless you have a non-points related reason for your wife is filing as non-accompanying you need to file as accompanying. Days of IRCC allowing spouses to be listed as non-accompanying while living with you in Canada are over.

    Spouses are now able to secure OHIP with AOR so assume children likely can as well. If not passing eligibility should secure not AIP. The change happened in mid 2024 after it became easier to secure TRVs for spouses being sponsored.
