What does it mean Eligibility Completed

There's no recent official doc on how long the bg check would take, but the old doc that was probably released 10 years ago say that bg check takes 110 days max for normal applications, for security screening it can take 6 months - 2 years. It also depends if they pause between steps of your bg...

    Humanitarian and Compassionate Applications 2025

Why not create this thread under the actual H&C part of the forum? Way more helpful to others that way.

    Jewelry

As the amount of your import is > $800, yes, you'll have to pay duty on it. I was recently reading CBSA's import guidelines and it looked like even if we aren't importing >$800 in item value, we still have to declare. The 2nd landing doesn't really matter.

COPR Showing in PR Tracker But No Portal Email – AOR Dec 17 (CEC Inland)

What you find on Google - the 1800 number is the number we all use.

COPR Showing in PR Tracker But No Portal Email – AOR Dec 17 (CEC Inland)

Some get it within 2 weeks, some take months. Really hard to say as IRCC has never disclosed this and forum data is too anecdotal to make any assumptions.

COPR Showing in PR Tracker But No Portal Email – AOR Dec 17 (CEC Inland)

Eligibility of common-law or dependents never go to complete. As long as yours is completed, theirs is completed is as well. GCKey shouldn't be used for background check or eligibility status as it is a legacy product that's not updated till you get FD or CoPR or are actually landed.

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

I highly doubt that. PGP is so small that H&C applicants from "PR for parents" cohort won't reduce. Also, since the pool isn't open to post 2020 applicants, a lot of people who want to apply are excluded as well.

Is DOT for active TB really needed for Study Permit?

X-ray is usually each month, sputum is going to be every 2 months. There's no fixed 6 month timeline here. It depends on how well your body responds to TB medication. It can go as far as 9-10 months too. DOT is super-subjective to where you really are, but it looks like you've been instructed...

Are points locked in when receiving the ITA?

Are you sure that you will be 16 days short even after waiting for the entire 59 days? I haven't seen IRCC make this mistake yet.

    PR for Mother

American immigration system is a crappy one. Also, good way to import people who hate western values. LA protests and other events in the US show very well, just how bad the system really is. The cohort of immigrants that's coming to Canada hasn't ever violently protested or sympathized with...

    refugee too late?

It is a troll account that's here to rage-bait people. We've these two serial abusers here who do these posts all the time to get a rageful-response out of people.

PR Holder - Could I face any issues with PR renewal, or citizenship or in general?

His company owes taxes in India as a result of what OP did. I never work from India for more than 28 days as that leads to potential taxation issues for my employer.

    refugee too late?

It is a troll account, all operated by the same person who has been abusing the H&C threads. +1 on mentioning people who actually made contributions to Canada and had to leave.

COPR Showing in PR Tracker But No Portal Email – AOR Dec 17 (CEC Inland)

They usually can't impact TR either. IRCC will not bend to a MP's wishes and there's nothing they can do before a "reasonable delay" is accepted. They just do status checks at best.

Impact of Inadmissibility on Express Entry Application

Read what "non-accompanying" member's focus is in that doc. I also don't know the nature of what's inadmissible with her daughter either. If the nature of that is as big as national security, you need a lawyer for sure. Rest of her questions are the same that can be cleared from a...

Are there no more french draws for the rest of the year?

Regardless of whether there are draws or not, give TCF to max out your CRS, you might get lucky with CEC. We don't know if there are any other draws planned for rest of the year. They don't announce draws in advanced. They have already clarified that they are increasing french immigration...

Impact of Inadmissibility on Express Entry Application

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/inadmissibility/reasons.html It says "inadmissible family member". Since her daughter isn't a part of her application, she won't be impacted. IIRC, it was "Section 42 of IRPA" focuses on accompanying family...

    PR for Mother

I'm an Indian. I don't think you get what's being said here. No one here thinks you are freeloader and nothing to do with you being Indian at all. When we all came here, we made life decisions. It is quite unclear from your post that your mother is actually finding it exceptionally hard to...

Ignore the lack of CoPR number for now. When I got my PPR/RFV letter, I didn't even had background/eligibility in progress (let alone any CoPR). I got my CoPR number in PR tracker days after getting my actual CoPR. As long as you got P1, the later doesn't matter as it is simply a batch update...
