Urgent advice needed - I'm abroad approved PR but not PR card yet PR travel document advice

Without a valid PR card or PRTD you will not be able to board the airplane on your return back to Canada. You are required to be holding one of these things in order for the airline to let you board. If you don't have one of these things, your problem won't be at the Canadian border. This...

Yes, complete the medical. You were approved under the assumption that you would get a medical done. Failing to complete the medical will create issues for you later.

    Supervisa renewal from inside Canada

An extension only allows her to remain in Canada longer, not to re-enter Canada. There is no way to guarantee she will be allowed to re-enter Canada. That is always up to CBSA.

I would make sure you have 4-6 hours between flights for landing procedures. Make sure it's all booked on a single ticket. That way if landing takes...

    Residency obligation

I have. There have been at least a few PRTDs under H&C recently that were single entry and of limited duration (6 months). I have no data to back this up but based on threads here it feels like this is much more common when H&C is involved. I don't recall seeing any non H&C that were single...

Supervisa - insurance for parents with cancer

Best to assume it won't be possible to cover any treatments related to the cancer or any other medical expenses related to this. If he will require any treatments while in Canada, assume you will need to pay for this out of pocket and look into the costs in advance, as well as a clinic that will...
