H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

Have a hard time believing the H&C division has the capacity to process ~8k applications or people per year if you prorate the figure for the whole year. Can’t find out what their processing capacity is if anyone else can find it. Even if many people get stuck for years between AIP and PR where...

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

The day from the governent is not clear. The 1100 is actually people not applications. To be fair don’t think IRCC employees are watching Netflix they are not set-up to process the volume of applications being submitted and they yearly targets that they have to consider which are decreasing...

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

High rate of JRs in general when it comes to all forms of immigration (temporary and permanent). It is taking over a year to get a JR heard these days. That is not a functional system.

    Supervisa stay confused

He can’t apply to extend his supervisa unless outside of Canada. He can attempt to extend his stay as a visitor. These are 2 different things. As long as he retains status his PGP is fine. As a visitor he should have a home to return to if the visitor record extension is denied or PGP is refused.

    Supervisa stay confused

You literally just attached a copy of the email you received with incorrect information. It should say July 2022 not July 2023 on the chart.

That is going to be problematic.

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

Don’t necessarily agree with what you are interpreting as inventory to be processed. My interpretation is that they are referring to the quota left to be processed within the allocated 2025quota. It is very unclear. There would be no way to get to 600 months based on how you are interpreting...

    Refugee/asylum claimants 2024 timelines

They are but there is still a huge backlog for these cases as well. A few years ago many of these cases were being approved in around 6 months.

Only the VO can make the determination. It is impossible to anticipate what they will decide.

    Supervisa stay confused

The incompetence is astounding. This should say July 2022 not 2023. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/2022/06/enhancements-to-the-super-visa-program-for-parents-and-grandparents-will-help-reunite-families-more-easily-and-for-longer.html

    Supervisa stay confused

Your father got a stamp in his passport so entirely different situation. To try to extend his visit he must apply for a visitor record extension before the stamp date.

    Supervisa stay confused

IRCC customer service is routinely wrong. If entered after July 2022 and no stamp in their passport they are currently eligible to visit for up to 5 years as long as they qualify and purchase supervisa insurance.

NOC 6322 Cook fast food Restaurant

So essentially you make dough and sauces only and you chop things. Not sure that is really enough to be considered a cook but that will be up to VO to determine.

    Supervisa stay confused

He doesn’t need an extension if he remains in Canada and he doesn’t qualify for an extension. Also no such thing as a supervisa extension. He would have to return home to reapply for a new supervisa. He needs to apply for a visitor record before he reaches the 5 years visiting Canada if he...

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

Think there will need to be some modifications but there will be a lot of pressure from both the conservative voters and some Bloq supporters to pass something similar. There will certainly be court challenges if implemented.

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

Not sure where you are finding that 6.5k applications will be processed in general H&C in I assume you mean 2026. Based on the breakdown in allocations for the 2025 H&C programs general H&C would have around 910 spots/people allocated in 2026. I could see justifying processing 2k applicants to...

    Pizza cook experience

It will be up to the visa officer to determine whether you are a cook or not? Gut feeling would be no if it is only pizza and no other foods on the menu like a primarily pizza restaurant that offers other foods either primarily Italian or more varied cuisine but I’m not IRCC. Is this a sit down...

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

Had only read the asylum part so yes the C2 would allow this to happen. Think there will have to be more nuance as to who gets removed even for BIOC cases like length of time in Canada, whether there is a Canadian child and age of that child, family composition, etc. Canada doesn’t want to...

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

H&C general appears to only get 13% of total H&C allocation so 13% of the 6487 which is scheduled to decrease next year to around 4500. Also unless you pause applications we will keep adding to the H&C backlog.

    2024 PR Application timeline

Have you been selected for the pilot program? It is faster but not fast. Processing times keep getting longer for anything related to asylum claimants, protected people, refugees, etc.
