Wow you got quite lucky. People with similar profiles are denied.

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

Given the job market I would not leave a job unless you have secured one in another province. The cost of housing is also much lower in Quebec than in many parts of Canada so that also needs to be considered. In some parts of Canada the vacancy rates are also very low so securing housing can be...

    Refugee/asylum claimants 2024 timelines

No suggestion has been made that this will impact cases already filed. In my opinion there may be changes to process current applications faster to try to clear out cases with no grounds but all files will be assessed.

    2022 PR application timeline

No if refused doesn’t have to be the same day. If anything refusals often take longer. Members don’t take 6 months unless they want to take more time considering the case and/or do more research before giving a judgement. You got approved in the end but there was clearly some concern so you...

Please think twice before coming to Canada as an international student, personal opinion

It was never a guaranteed pathway to PR just like many other countries.

Visitor visa for Single parent mom

Drop the agent since is zero need for one to apply for a TRV/supervisa and they are also not giving good advice. If you and your spouse meet LICO on your NOA and you have a decent amount of savings your mother should be able to get approved for a supervisa. Obviously ties to India helps as well...

    2022 PR application timeline

It would have been sad if you had been refused after 6 months given that there were some concerns about your file. Given the 6 months processing this was likely a potential outcome. Then you would have had to attempt RAD, JR, H&C, etc. with no guarantee of PR.

Please think twice before coming to Canada as an international student, personal opinion

Not sure what type of masters you did but the current value of a masters degree (even from a reputable school) and whether it makes sense to pursue one is a larger discussion not related to immigration.

TRV application From India (outside Canada) on a Valid Work Permit (extension)

There is no point in contacting as frequently as you’re suggesting. It will not change the processing time.

Yes you would be considered as single as long as you had not lived together for a continuous year.

Please think twice before coming to Canada as an international student, personal opinion

I don’t think most are open to hearing the challenges although maybe slightly mot than they used to be. Have been discouraging international students from attending many schools especially colleges and doing certain degrees for the past decades and most are not even willing to consider the...

    Proof of funds

How much savings have you shown since you also much show that you have the funds to support your daily living expenses. You need to be able to she 21k. If you can prove that you can cover your 1st year expenses your mother can include a letter indicating she plans on funding the 2nd year of...

PR card 730 days obligation and entering to Canada

In general tough to compare immigration in 2023 compared to 2025. Covid alone was a reason that failure to meet their RO was often overlooked.

    New proposed asylum rules

The asylum seeker changes are very likely to change. If only people applied who truly faced a change in country conditions like a war after a year there wouldn’t be a need for changes but most are not facing these major country changes when they apply after a year.

    New proposed asylum rules

These changes have been in the pipeline before Trump got elected. It would be very difficult and against treaties we have signed to pause all new asylum claims. Previous government wanted to prioritize being viewed as a top humanitarian country but even they had felt the pressure to get...

Visitor visa timeline for sister , brother in law and Nephew

Not typically for 1.5 months for 3 people. They would be expected not to drain all their savings on top of that. All you can do is wait and see if they get approved.
