PR Card renewal- H&C grounds / Not meeting RO

No point applying until she is prepared to remain. Not being in Canada weakens her case dramatically.

Spousal sponsorship blocked by Quebec CSQ quota – can I move to Ontario (Ottawa) to avoid delays?

Would add you need to get rid of your home in Quebec. Would be best if you could be added to a lease for housing in Ottawa. Given that Ottawa/Hull/Gatineau is essentially considered greater Ottawa for employment working in Quebec won’t be an issue. In other cases it would.

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

https://archive.ph/acFou Many of the proposed changes date back from Marc Miller days who was not able to implement his full plans. The change in the economy and public pressure is the bigger issue. IRCC has been aware of many problems for a long time. Politicians were the ones directing some...

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

Because they are hoping some go home which was the original plan.

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

There is just a very long queue waiting for P1 and a small quota. IRCC allocates a certain number of P1s per month or they would have all been gone in January probably. There is a large pool of applicants and a smaller quota. It is purely a math issue.

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

It is not strict chronological processing.

    Hearing Postponed

It likely depends on the details of your file. Certain people are experts in certain regions/reasons for asylum so processing is often allocated based on the specifics of a case.

    AOR April 2025

Post under refugee section. After biometric may be years until you see any movement on your file if you applied recently unless there are reforms announced soon. I would take 10+ years to clear the existing backlog.

can we mention passing CFA exams after ITA ?

As specified in personal history. The aunt would only have an impact on almost all forms of immigration unless there are points involved.

can we mention passing CFA exams after ITA ?

Would mention it in personal history because it good evidence for NOC selection. FYI an aunt in Canada would not help your PR application unless you were given family points.

Enter Canada via US (when PR card is lost)

Yes they can enter Canada via the US. The pick-up is more of an interview. Assume they were compliant with their RO when they applied and continue to be compliant with their RO.

    Pregnancy support (Mothers Visa)

They may not be able to visit.

    Applying for step-dad's visa

Is your mother still alive and does she have a visa? Step-parents usually are considered the dependent of a family member. If the biological parent passes things get a lot more complicated or not possible when it comes to supervisa, PGP, etc.

PGP - COPR received but Primary Applicant (father)cant travel due to health conditions. Is there any way dependent (mother) can land without my father

Your father would likely have to redo a medical. You could ask if your mother can be changes as primary applicant. Not sure if that will be possible.

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

Very tough to comment without knowing your whole immigration background and family profile. In general the advice is right. People should be using any time in Canada while in limbo or with status to gain work or education experience, get involved in their community, work in fields in need in...

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

The government has never encouraged H&C applications or viewed it as a valid pathway for regularization or PR pathway for people who can’t qualify for other programs. It was also meant for rare exceptional cases. In general for decades Canada was very lax when it came to immigration, when it...

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

Not denying that many governent often have some political reasons. The Venezuelan, Haiti, etc program was part of a compromise with the US and likely wouldn’t have existed without the US government. Bureaucrats at the IRCC wanted CUAET set a precedent that was very dangerous but assume pressure...

Our medical expire after 10 days.

You’ll be contacted if you need to redo your medicals. It would only be requested right before approval to ensure it would remain valid but IRCC also has the ability to extend the expiry date without having to redo the medical.

    Visitor Record - parents

No issue as long as the medical is done within the given time period.
