Do you mean you got PR and moved to Canada even though you were already separated? That is misrepresentation. You need to speak to a lawyer.

So you are only visiting Canada. Upon entry you are normally only granted a 6 month visit so you apply to extend your visit? Why are you in Canada if you have been separated for almost 2 years and you separated in India.

No updates on Super Visa application

There is no guaranteed processing times. You are within the normal processing time for many countries. There is nothing you can do but wait. Would recommend doing the medicals because it is a bit strange that the medicals haven’t been processed if they haven’t already done one in the past year.

If you try to file for divorce before you have been separated for a year the divorce will not get processed. How long have you been separated if you only arrived 8 months ago?

Can remote foreign work experience (paid monthly, under contract) count for PR?

What you are describing is actually a freelance job. They are being paid directly into their Canadian bank account. Doesn't sound like they can work legally in Dubai. They will have to file taxes on this job as self-employed in Canada.

Hong Kong Stream A/B Permanent Residence Pathway

As long as their work experience and education does not contribute to qualifying is essentially what I meant. That said they do need to list their education and work experience. The wait time for this program is likely going to be many years so would also suggest looking at other programs.

So no issue immigration wise if you lived together in Canada for 8 months before separating. As long as you and your spouse meet the requirements to file for divorce in Ontario/Canada there is no reason why you shouldn’t file for divorce in Ontario/Canada especially if you are both residents of...

Expected processing time for background security checks?

IRCC does still try to respect the targets even if they are mot quite as strict as quotas especially when trying to reduce the number of PRs. We are seeing the P1, P2 and eCOPR process being slowed down out of Quebec as well so there is clearly an attempt to actually stick to the targets. As...

    Spousal sponsorship

If your spouse is aware of the amount of debt and you can survive in Canada as a family while repaying your debts no it shouldn’t impact your sponsorship application.

Inland PR Holder parent doing sponsorship for child

Not sure I would call being outside Canada for 2-3 years well within the 1095 days but depending on when you actually left you will have to make sure you maintain your RO status in general but also because you are applying to sponsor your child.

    Super visa

No issue for Canada but you’ll need to check with your airline. Your parents can’t move to Canada but they can visit for long enough that it wouldn’t be reasonable to expect most parents to have purchased a return ticket. Some may have purchased a return ticket out of necessity or because they...

    Family Visit - Refugee Claimant

There are many ways to approach this. For many unless they know they received PRTD based on H&C which would allow them to apply for a PR card when they return to Canada many feel it is too risky to return to Canada. Many don’t want to give up current employment, housing, etc. if they risk being...
