    March 2025 - Citizenship Applications

Spouse had the interview recently (online). Very low-impact, no issues, agent quite nice. Started with routine question about whether any criminal or immigration issues that would prevent citizenship (to which answer given was 'not that I know of' - how should one answer that? Probably with a...

If PRTD application under H&C considerations is rejected

There's a discussion somewhere about this - I once found same text about how R-1 means you're 'deemed' to have met the RO, or something like that. Feedback came back differently from other members, that it's ambiguous and doesn't automatically mean you can be assured you'll get PR card on...

    Spouse Sponsorship: Proof Of Communication

To orient you: download the checklist document with the application package. The checklist is the main document to orient you and define what you need. Read through that carefully - what it asks for specifically depends on your situation, that's the part you need to pay attention to and understand.

    December 2023 - Citizenship Applications

You keep asking this. There is no separate thread I'm aware of. Best would be to start a new thread. You ask this question without providing useful information about your case. All cases I've seen or heard of where the applicant has spent eg a year or more in the PNP province have had no...

    April 2025 - Citizenship Applications

It is usually a few days (say 1-7 days) before the tracker account can be created. You should get an invitation/info letter about the tracker (separate from AOR), which seems to come a bit after the tracker account can be created. So either wait or just try it once a day.

@canuck78 is right, you left out all the important stuff about your history...

    Dependent Child Sponsorship -2024

Yes, this happens. Some don't even get AOR. Consider the medical request to be same as AOR.

    Spouse Sponsorship: Proof Of Communication

Please read the application instructions carefully - if you live together, you may not need to provide this at all. There is a simplified instructions/proof set for those that have lived together a certain period, not been married before current, and have kids. This may apply to you too.

Citizenship Tracker-Background Check - fingerprints processing took too long

No, they do not necessarily mean the same thing. One can happen without the other. It's probable most fingerprint requests are just random audit requests (basically a check against previous biometrics) and most of the rest those that don't have biometrics on file, older ones / technically...

    I am worried!!

Sorry if that sounded harsh. In the end, it may not be much of an issue.

If PRTD application under H&C considerations is rejected

I do not understand. On what basis did you claim you met the RO? You wrote, if I understood, that you left in 2014 and stayed abroad. Were you living with Canadian citizen spouse?

    April 2025 - Citizenship Applications

AOR = Acknowledgement of Receipt, so yes.

    I am worried!!

This is motivated reasoning on your part, and you've now just disclosed to us that you CHOSE to leave out information that you thought relevant (if you thought it relevant, no reason to think IRCC would not also think so). You wanted to pick and choose, but the question - as I recall - was...

Application for Canadian Citizenship - A Comprehensive Guide

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-processing-times.html Current estimated times are 10 months. Could be faster than that, 10 months is a conservative estimate. Going on from that: define 'expect' and fit the info above into your use of the...

    Editing my submitted application?

Well, I think it was silly to not just declare it, but I understand where you're coming from (it seems like part-time temporary employment). I personally doubt that IRCC will care.

    February 2025 - Citizenship Applications

There was a poster here who had issues with fingerprints not being delivered, and it was an issue that required manual intervention. In my view, two months is too long. I think it was @USProgrammer in an october or november thread?

    I am worried!!

This is of course true, misrepresentation - but the question of import in this is whether it's material. And what's material is not always obvious, and can be somewhat subjective. EG: someone who got Irish or Danish citizenship while a child through their parentage, doesn't hold a passport, and...

    I am worried!!

I agree you should get advice. It may not be a big deal, but that may also depend on the nationality in question - and other factors like how much you've travelled there, hold the passport, etc.

Expected processing time for background security checks?

I don't believe there are caps for spouse and minor dependent sponsorships ex Quebec. They publish estimates only, and of course they dedicate resources to expected application level (demand*), and there are practical limits to how many they can process. So of course if there are a lot more apps...

Expected processing time for background security checks?

No worries, and sorry that you're stuck that way. At least you're in Canada. Terrible they're still doing this. I'm even surprised IRCC on the phone admits this.
