Help needed: about non-accompanying spouse's medical inadmissibility

Declaring yourself as non-accompanying could also get your application denied for misrepresentation. Also in most cases would not let you remain in Canada with your family other than as a visitor so would prevent access to healthcare or at the very least would require you to pay for care. You...

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

In the same statement you are quoting the minister stated her role is to reduce overall immigration. What is suspect will likely be announced is a shift to more regional immigration and category draws like healthcare, education, etc. versus more general immigration programs. French immigration...

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

Impossible to say. When it comes to H&C it is very tough to anticipate what will happen. What is very obvious is that is not functional and only drastic action can realistically fix it. This has been obvious for quite some time and the government has not taken steps to do anything about it so...

    Refugee claim evidence

No you should not send evidence before asking to provide it. It will not lead to faster processing if that is your goal. Please consult your lawyer. Yes some non-complex claims are approved without a hearing or a shorter hearing but claims always require evidence. Due to the volume of...

    Questions About SuperVisa for Parents

    1. No activation just like any tourist visa. Can’t move on a tourist visa but she can visit as long as she can obtain and pays for supervisa insurance annually. 2. If/when the PGP program is ever opened again you will be competing with hundreds of thousands of others trying to sponsor their...

Can a protected person apply for PR through PNP or Express Entry

If that was the case most would still not qualify purely based on not being able to count any of the experience while an asylum claimant especially given how long processing times have been.

    2025 PR Application Timeline

Lock-in is typically used for cases when parent is the one get protected status and children may be older teenagers at that point and may be over 22 by the time they get PR. This is an entirely different situation where the parents & sibling are asking to be considered for PR on H&C grounds...

Can a protected person apply for PR through PNP or Express Entry

Genuinely curious what stream they have said is an option? Assume you also realize that any Canadian education or work experience while an asylum claimant would not be able be able to used for points.

Urgent: Sudden Increase in PR Processing Times for Refugees and Protected Persons (Up to 99 Months!)

Of course not as a Canadian citizen with knowledge of immigration and gvt policy. It’s a public forum. The fact that many were surprised about the recent processing time updates just reinforces that many are not aware of what is going on with immigration and what they should be anticipating.

Can a protected person apply for PR through PNP or Express Entry

You can’t apply for the economic streams as a protected person unless I missed a very recent announcement. If there was a change could you please attach proof of this?

Help needed: about non-accompanying spouse's medical inadmissibility

    1. No you can’t you aren’t actually non-accompanying. Assumed you were at least out of Canada. If you have serious health issues how are you planning on remaining in Canada and accessing healthcare? 2. Yes it is an all or nothing situation whether you are accompanying or non-accompanying.

Help needed: about non-accompanying spouse's medical inadmissibility

The spouse could be sponsored after being listed as non-accompanying without a medical inadmissibility clause which is why the whole family must pass the medical during the PR application. Canada also doesn’t want to allow families to leave sick or disabled family members behind in their home...

    2024 PR Application timeline

Normal. Processing times are getting longer because there is a huge volume of people applying for a small PR quota. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-processing-times.html

Can a protected person apply for PR through PNP or Express Entry

Get a new lawyer unless they were suggesting you could leave Canada, relinquish your protected person status and apply for other PR pathways.

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

Based on purely math based on application, quotas and backlogs processing times are going to be very long. H&C also does not prevent removal so many will be removed during processing. Realistically the program is no longer functional and needs to be reassessed.

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

Would be very reluctant to sell anything until they have confirmed PR. There are so many unknowns with H&C at the moment.
