Commuting to Detroit with expired PR Card

Have you submitted the application to renew your PR card and are you in compliance with the residency obligation? If so, no issues. If you happen not to be in compliance with the residency obligation, then this will be very risky. Each time you re-enter Canada there will be a chance CBSA may...

    Question regarding Procedural Fairness letter

One of the requirements of the program is that you have enough money to support yourself. If you are receiving money regularly from your parents, this would indicate you don't meet this requirement. It doesn't matter that the money is a gift and they don't expect it back. H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

I'm very sorry to hear about your sibling's illness. 1) That's going to be very difficult for any of us to guess. If your parents are deceased and there are no immediate family members in your home country, that will help. But overall hard to say. 2) I don't think it's possible to get health...

    passport back after positive NOD

This individual used their passport to travel to their COP. To the best of my knowledge, we have yet to see a case where passport renewal and using that passport to travel to counties other than the COP resulted in cessation. Cessation cases have consistently involved travel to the COP.

    SOWP refused.

If you haven't already, order your GCMS notes to see the full details of the refusal. Ultimately it may end up being challenging to get the SOWP and study permits approved. What country are you from? How much did you show in funds? What evidence of home ties did your spouse show?

IT student in Canada — is a diploma enough for PR or should I complete my degree?

If you want PR, stick with the bachelor. If you are totally fine leaving Canada after the end of your PGWP, then no issues going with the diploma. You might want to spend more time researching how competitive immigration is right now. You should expect this will not change even if there are...

Denied marriage, looking to do refugee claim

Why do you think approval would be guaranteed? If anything, he should expect IRCC to review the asylum application extremely closely given the past history of a fraudulent marriage to gain PR.

    PNP preferably from Ontario

PNP isn't going to be feasible unless you are working in Canada or have a qualifying job offer in Canada. You are right. Zero chances of ITA with a score of 350.
