Please think twice before coming to Canada as an international student, personal opinion

The minimum wage jobs in Canada still pay better than most third world countries like India, Philippines, etc. People who are taking advantage or gaming the system saw an opportunity and took it, can you blame them? IRCC is overwhelmed and doesn't have the resources to maintain integrity of...

Please think twice before coming to Canada as an international student, personal opinion

In Canada's defense, Canada never invited anyone with the promise of PR. You come as a student with enough money to support yourself or you don't. The expectation should never be to stay here as you are a temporary resident. People who complain are the ones who don't know how to manage...

    New proposed asylum rules

Highly doubt those are the reasons for govt to propose these changes. The real reason is probably to impress Trump administration and try to negotiate a better deal to save our economy. If the govt was really concerned and wanted to clean the house, they will process the 280k pending asylum...

Asking for a friend (PGWP Holder)

It's the best pathway! If you look at the asylum numbers, you will see for yourself. When inept people are running Canada, why shouldn't foreigners take advantage? Over 5 years the pending went from 80k to 280k. Canada doesn't have the capacity to process these claims even in 20 years and the...

Asking for a friend (PGWP Holder)

Just claim asylum, you will get 10 years stay at least. Canada rarely deports anyone so you can stay forever by playing the system.

Student to Lmia based work permit

I think you have bigger problems than worrying about work permit. CBSA doesn't just show up knocking at doors, it's a very rare enforcement action. If I were to guess, there's more to this story than you are sharing. Working with an attorney is your best bet.
