    Your father got a stamp in his passport so entirely different situation. To try to extend his visit he must apply for a visitor record extension before the stamp date.

    IRCC customer service is routinely wrong. If entered after July 2022 and no stamp in their passport they are currently eligible to visit for up to 5 years as long as they qualify and purchase supervisa insurance.

    H&C general appears to only get 13% of total H&C allocation so 13% of the 6487 which is scheduled to decrease next year to around 4500. Also unless you pause applications we will keep adding to the H&C backlog.
