    Highly amusing, must be nice for you so high up on that pedestal of superiority. Some employers are not so accommodating with short notice absences, it doesn't sound like you have this issue. They knew on Friday 5th but didnt disclose when and where until Fri 12th. That's the point I was making.

    Yeah my wife has Oath on 24th and no email yet, its been a week now. I assume (never assume) that they fill the ceremony up before sending the email invitation. She will need time off work and depending on whether its in person or virtual, it will be half a day off or the entire day...

    My wife's application suddenly leapt forward late last week after no updates since AoR. BG, Prohibitions and Presence all complete. She's exempt due to age for the test and Language but they're showing as not started and in progress for some reason.

    Congrats, great feeling. Yep patience, you're right. My wife's AOR is before yours and the first movement she's had on the tracker was yesterday to say background complete, everything else still in progress. At least yesterday's update shows it's not lost :)

    My wife has had no progress on the tracker whatsoever. She had FP request in June, other than that nothing whatsoever.

    although not waiting anything like your time, my wife has had no update for quite a while and raised a webform and just got a bog standard/automated email response (coincidentally she doesnt need test or language but was also required to provide fingerprints). Its easy to complete a webform so...

    my wife is in the same boat. 58 so no test or language. Save for fingerprint request, no progress showing at all on the tracker. Not sure living in Vancouver relates to that office handling your application

    you do right. I mistakenly thought my wife's application would be a breeze as she is exempt from language and citizen test but I was wrong...again. It'll take as long as it takes, just hope it doesn't suddenly come to life when we're heading out of Canada for 3 months at the end of December

    yes. Its very frustrating. My wife doesnt need to take the citizen test or language so we thought this would be really quick. I'm more uptight about it then her :)

    Some tips for virtual oath ceremony

    Hi, interesting. I completed a virtual oath when they first started them in 2021, the French bit wasn't absolutely necessary but was encouraged. They definitely checked that you were saying the oath out loud. Congrats on completing.
