    Yea, people outside of Ontario, Quebec and BC are seeing faster timelines. I think majority of their applications are being processed - submission to LPP - at the CIO, Sydney. They only send to local office to schedule oath. We will get it in a few weeks hopefully. Fingers crossed

    There are two parts to the background checks. One is the criminality and the other is prohibition. Maybe the agent meant that prohibition is in progress?

    My understanding is that all citizenship applications go to Vancouver for LPP so you are probably right. It’s not a coincidence that everyone’s applications seem to be ‘stuck’ at the Vancouver office once they’ve gone past the test and BGC stages.

    I'm in the same boat. I've decided to reschedule the oath if it conflicts with my trip out of Canada. Unfortunately, I can't move or cancel the trip since it's a family event. I can only hope that it works in my favour at this point but not worried at all.
