WES and IQAS website is not accepting my foreign institution for ECA. It shows non-recognized.

What college and what major? With this we can help you check if it's an issue of eligibility getting lost or if there might be another place that will accept it (though this is unlikely if WES won't).

Non-Canadian Bachelor's Degree (No ECA) — Do I Declare It or Not?

Yes, for personal history section no proofs are required, so the non Canadian bachelors shouldn't require any documents/proofs. You should only need to provide proof for the Canadian masters.

    April 2025 - Citizenship Applications

No, not everyone gets an FP request. There are a couple of reasons why you can get one: - You happen to have a common name. So your odds of getting a match to someone who has a criminal record is just higher and they need the FP just to confirm that you're not that other person. - You don't...

Declined ITA when i shouldnt have

So how did this go? Did you ever get a response back? Would be good to know, just so we have some data points. I think the problem is that webforms are slow to respond - if in theory one could get ahold of an officer in charge of ITAs on the same day - preferably same minute - then perhaps...

Did not receive ITA despite have CRS above cut-off

Well, I mean, we are barely three years removed from the end of COVID. Agreed. I also don't know OP's full story regarding why there was such a delay. But I wouldn't be surprised if the story turns out to be similar to mine (i.e. the delay was outside of OP's control and caused by a COVID...

Agreed, but OP here is an exception.

Using 60 days ITA time to increase work experience?

OP isn't anticipating getting ITA until September and it's still July. So not enough time has passed for OP to "do" anything yet. Though I think OP would be fine - the unpaid leave that might happen in August (that is, next month) wasn't planned when OP submitted profile. So if OP waits the 60...

Did not receive ITA despite have CRS above cut-off

And my point is that the three year rule doesn't do that. I think - assuming there is a shortage of such folks - it makes more sense to spin off a separate category for these, for fewer spots. Though if we instead have a surplus, perhaps these should be removed from the draws altogether...

Did not receive ITA despite have CRS above cut-off

That's fair. I'd say a similar but different argument would apply to, for example, software developers. (In software development the pace of change can be dizzyingly fast. So much so that in some specializations - like JavaScript frameworks - someone who takes a complete break from the field...

    April 2025 - Citizenship Applications

Ah, thats a good insight! If I'm reading https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-citizenship/become-canadian-citizen/eligibility.html#language and...

Did not receive ITA despite have CRS above cut-off

Ah, yes that makes sense. I got ITA back in 2019 and successfully applied in 2020. Meanwhile, doing some digging (from the folks who host this forum no less) reveals that category draws started in 2023 (source: https://www.canadavisa.com/news/ircc-category-based-express-entry-draws.html &...

Did not receive ITA despite have CRS above cut-off

    > eligible foreign national is not a member of the category ... if the work experience ... was not accumulated within the three-year period preceding the date the officer receives their application for permanent residence. Wow. That's news to me, that the experience has to be within three...

    April 2025 - Citizenship Applications

FWIW, after I passed the test, the tracker's own timeline didn't show it as completed until 8 days later, and I didn't notice until I logged into the tracker again 18 days later... in my case I got a FP request a few days ago (so perhaps they update the test as completed in tracker if they're...

    Advice Needed

The other thing that might theoretically help is to see if you can bump up your educational level - if you just hold a single bachelors degree, then try getting a Masters online from your home country, that may bump you up the needed ten points. (If you hold a Masters already or at least two...

Non-Canadian Bachelor's Degree (No ECA) — Do I Declare It or Not?

    1. No as per https://www.cicnews.com/2020/12/canadian-immigration-applicants-now-only-need-to-submit-highest-degree-for-eca-1216558.html - only the highest degree (your Masters) matters. And since it's Canadian it is counted without an ECA, so none is needed at all. (Note though that in some...

Citizenship application REFUSAL for residents in Quebec with PR obtained through EE

While OP said that eligibility for citizenship was coming up soon, OP didn't say how soon. It's possible that it's just now (this week) that eligibility to apply for citizenship has happened (which then might not include any buffer as per the usual recommendation on this forum). So OP might...

PFL - MISREPRESENTATION - NOT MENTIONING COMMON LAW

Like I said both myself and my spouse got PR. How long ago did you hit the one year mark and officially become common-law ? And when did you last apply for PGWP? If that was before Oct 2024 (PGWPs are usually good for two or three years) then you're fine as you wouldn't have had to declare...

    April 2025 - Citizenship Applications

Same. For reference though, the original comment just referenced a "previous link" that I didn't immediately see. It's possible that it was mentioned earlier in the thread, or perhaps one can find it by searching that poster's history. Ah! So I cross referenced that and found this from the...

    April 2025 - Citizenship Applications

An impossible requirement then, as the US doesn't have open work visas and closed work visas require one to have the job offer first before the employer can start the sponsorship process. That sort of "impossible requirement" reminds me a bit of this...
