Apply on nov or dec. Now is still more than one year vslid. They can refuse But gather all documents and within a couple of months You can ask For renew. Are You close to You PR? After You become PR your new RTD Will be 5 years valid.- Flowercita

Of course many countries has restrictions. I emailed differents consulates and required 6 months or 3 months at least. As like with the passports, many countries ask for 6 months validity. I recommend if you RTD is less than 6 months valid, renew it. I did it. There is a problem and they...- Flowercita

I think You can't. Renew your RTD. Most countries ask for at least 6 months valid before your trip. Others 3 months. Try to renew it now. It's taking 2 months aprox. You Will travel with new RTD and the old one with the visa if still valid.- Flowercita

The process to apply is very simple. Do it on line . Takes months to renew now and if For any reason your PR is delayed You won't be able to work legally. I suggest to renew it. I'm from Aug 2023. No news since I knew by the notes that elegibility passed on may 2024. More than one year ago. Stuck the file . Hopefully we don't have to wait until 2026. They are working now just in Feb 2023. Slowww- Flowercita
