    I think it depends on where you are too. It seems the in-person ones are becoming more frequent and popular in the GTA. If you're in a more remote location, virtual may be more likely.

    Thanks. :) They gave me the paper certificate at the ceremony. I think I actually selected e-certificate when I applied back in January but I've heard nothing about an e-certificate so far.

    You may have to prove you did your best to settle and find suitable opportunities there before relocating to another province but 9-10 month of time should be long enough to have done that in the event anyone ever questions it.

    Mine is the 29th so it's a Thursday and although the calendar on the website doesn't go that far yet, I'm not seeing anything scheduled for Thursday May 23rd. A few of us on here seem to have been scheduled for the 29th from the looks of it.

    True that and especially since most immigration in recent years has come from one or two countries who value a Canadian passport as a strong factor in their reasons to move here. Citizenship application ratios may be higher over the next few years than they have been in the past.

    It is but because I need to travel approx. 6 weeks after the ceremony, I'm trying to avoid any unnecessary delays, even if they end up costing me a little more. Normally I wouldn't be too fussed but it's just a timing thing on this occasion really.

    It's OK, I get that and tbh my home country has a far more awkward process than this. I'm just ideally trying to avoid relying on anyone else so I can get the application in as soon as possible. A couple of my friends are Canadian citizens but I only tend to see them once a week at most.

    I remain hopeful they will add me to the pilot program tbh, not least because I would prefer not to go through the complications involved with finding a guarantor. I don't mind using a local notary if I have to but the form for that has to be requested.
