    Amazing! Where are you located?

    Withdraw and reapply?

With all due respect, I encourage you to regain composure and have some self-awareness of your extreme privilege of already being a PR of Canada. You already get to call Canada your forever home while so many are still fighting challenges to get PR. I see no unfairness. You said you had a long...

    January 2025 - Citizenship Applications

Yeah I have read some people ended up with a 3-4 month delay after requesting to change the format. Plus, I realized that the thing that will make me really feel authentically a Canadian is the day when I get my Canadian passport, and not the oath ceremony itself (since Canadians born in...

    Withdraw and reapply?

It’s not unusual for applicants who applied with very little buffer in physical presence to wait a while for the physical presence to be cleared. I would absolutely not advise withdrawing and reapplying. Withdrawing can take time and who knows how long that will be. Right now, the worst case...

    January 2025 - Citizenship Applications

Got my oath invite at 12:57 PM EST today (Jul 3)! It's virtual; I would have preferred in-person, but I'm not going to delay this any further.

There’s no point calling if your application is still within the current processing time. They will just tell you to wait

    January 2025 - Citizenship Applications

I would say you guys are still good! My test was marked completed on March 18 and LPP was only completed for me two days ago. You haven’t waited as long as I did yet, but an update should be coming for you guys in the next few weeks

Degree as Language Proof for Citizenship.

I didn't even upload the transcript, just the diploma that you get during convocation. LPP completed for me without any issues!

Jan/Feb/Mar Aor (Van Office) waiting for LPP!

My timeline is just another data point and I wouldn't use it to predict your own or other people's timeline. I have seen Vancouver applications that had moved much faster than mine. I kept a record of 80 completed timelines I found online and my application is actually on the slower end.

    January 2025 - Citizenship Applications

Yay! I have yet to receive the email invitation, but I really hope it will be in-person.

    January 2025 - Citizenship Applications

You are actually mistaken here—it's the currently published processing time that's applied to our applications. We don't “lock in” the processing time at the time of submission. I learned this by talking to an IRCC agent on the phone. If you call while your application is still within the...

Jan/Feb/Mar Aor (Van Office) waiting for LPP!

Jan 30 applicant; AOR Feb 14. My test was marked completed on Mar 18 and had been waiting for LPP since. I finally had LPP done on Jul 1. It's coming!

    January 2025 - Citizenship Applications

Wow, our timelines almost lines up exactly; Jan 30 submission, Feb 14 AOR, Mar 4 background done, Mar 18 test completed. Same Vancouver primary office, but my secondary office is Scarborough. Gives me hope to see that you just had LPP done a few days ago!

    January 2025 - Citizenship Applications

After over 3 months of no update since March 18, I just got a ghost update today (Sat, Jun 28). LPP still in progress, but what's weird is that all the items in the Activity history are now marked with the “New update” badge. Weird! Last time I got a ghost update on a Saturday, my application...

    January 2025 - Citizenship Applications

I don't think that's how IRCC works in general—they don't “balance it out” like that. There are some March and April applicants who got ceremony invites already while applicants from Nov, Dec, Jan & Feb 2025 are still waiting for LPP. It's just arbitrary. One reason I can think of for not...

    January 2025 - Citizenship Applications

I have seen people waiting 2-3 months after LPP to get ceremony invite so you are still within the normal range!
