    PR for Mother

When PGP is eventually opened there will be hundreds of thousands of applicants for a very small number of spots. The fact these PGP exists given the state of healthcare is a minor miracle to begin with. Hopefully there will be both income verification and some sort of priority system like...

    PR for Mother

Out of pressure they raised the supervisa visit to 5-7 years. How IRCC chose to ignore that this would lead to people viewing this as a permanent move is mind boggling. Also doesn’t help that IRCC used to give out extensions extremely easily. Also no verification that people have paid for...

Best time to Land in Canada

Not sure I would agree that summer is a good time to apply for jobs in most industries. Early Fall and mid-January to early spring most ideal in my opinion.

    PR for Mother

That is not a realistic plan for most. The mother can visit on a supervisa but needs to have a longterm plan for care in her home country. There will not be a pathway for many parents to remain in Canada and get PR.

    Child sponsorship timelines

Assume you’ve checked with your local school board that a study permit is not required. Some boards require proof that children are entitled to attend public school as a domestic student while others do not.

    Child sponsorship timelines

Not in Ontario. There was a somewhat recent change that sponsored dependents qualify after AOR but unsure about children given Outland processing. This was mainly due to loosening of TRVs during spousal sponsorship process. As was easily predicted many were arriving pregnant then realizing they...

Best time to Land in Canada

You have to consider that not a lot of hiring happens, except seasonal work, in November/December due to end of year and Christmas. Obviously there is some variability depending what NOC since some sectors are always looking to hire. Would suggest mid January landing vs end of October/November.

Working hours based on the permits

Typically once you claim asylum your other permit gets cancelled. Believe you need to reapply for a study permit if you want to study.

    Québec PR Timelines

You are literally in a queue with others who applied at a similar time than you did so you aren’t being treated differently than other applicants. How is that not waiting until it is your turn? You anticipated faster processing but everyone is getting longer processing as refugees and protected...

How can I bring my 3year old to Canada if I am a refugee claimant?

It could still take more than a year to get a hearing. There is an extremely large backlog of applicants. What did you do for the first 9 months in Canada? What is your home country?

How can I bring my 3year old to Canada if I am a refugee claimant?

Although your spouse can certainly try to get a WP realistically you are likely facing many years (could be over 5) being separated even if you are approved as a protected person. Your first major hurdle is to get a hearing and get approved as a protected person. When did you claim asylum? As...

    Quebec Spousal Sponsorship Process Questions

Suspect IRCC and Quebec are going to get a lot more strict about proof that you are permanently leaving Quebec and are resettling elsewhere. The best option is to actually leave Quebec (cut ties no job, home, etc) before applying or at least move during processing and cut ties with Quebec. You...
