Citizenship - decision made with no interview. Should I be worried?

PR since September, 2009

Applied for citizenship September 24, 2019.
Processing started January 11, 2020.

April 3, 2020 - decision made.

I’m over 65 so I don’t have to take the knowledge test. However, I saw at least one statement that “All applicants will have an interview with an IRCC official.” I haven’t.

Can anyone give me any reason not to panic right about now?

Pretty simple one, because of the pandemic, interviews are not being conducted. I think the interview is mainly to assess your proficiency in the official languages, if they see that's not an issue, then you should be fine.

I hope you’re right, Islander216! I just realized my PR Card expired ten days ago. Should I get a new application started ASAP or wait until I‘m notified about the decision?

Unless you are planning to travel outside of Canada (unlikely given the circumstances) you don't really need PR card. So, you can wait for the decision. It's possible you won't need a PR card.
