Use visitor visa to apply for common law

Hi,

My work permit will expire at the end of March. I have to wait till end of April to apply common law(so that me and my boyfriend will be living together for a year). I’ll apply for visitor visa around mid of March so that I can legally stay in Canada. My question is when we submit common law application, I have to provide a copy of my visa. According to past experience, it takes months to get the visa in paper form...what should I do while I send out my application of common law if I haven’t received the paper form of my visitor visa?

You will have implied status and you can send the receipt for paying for the visa as well as sending the application if you send by paper as proof that youve applied.... you can also include a letter of explanation
