I am looking for an option to apply for a PR along with my parents as dependants. Me, my wife and our kids are Australian citizens whereas my parents are Indian citizens and we all want to migrate to Canada. I have just started to read and not at all aware of the processes. I read in one of the threads that parents can't be included in the application directly. I would want to know what are the alternate options where I can include them in my application. Should I be approaching any lawyers? are there any lawyers on this forum who could help?

Not possible. Parents are not classified as dependents. It will be several years (at least 3) after you become PRs and establish yourselves in Canada before you may qualify to sponsor your parents for PR as well. If you want your parents to become PRs faster / sooner, the only option is for them to qualify and apply on their own through an economic immigration stream like Express Entry.

That's the cultural difference. Many people in their old ages in India are dependent on their children.
Many parents in Canada are dependent on children as well. However, for immigration purposes, they are not dependents.
My parents wouldn't be able speak english. If it is only economic requirements then they should be able to make it otherwise they can't. Can you please provide me the link for further details?
Given their ages and lack of English (and I'm assuming French), they have no chance of qualifying through an economic program.

The only way to bring parents is through PGP sponsorship after you become a PR. It would be many years and there is no guarantee you would even get a spot.
They need to speak fluent English or French to qualify under an economic immigration stream. If they don't speak either language - no hope in qualifying.
