Help needed in understanding the job market

Hi All,

I am a Postgresql Database Administrator who has approximately 8 years of experience into database administration of Oracle, MySQL. I am planning to migrate to Toronto, Canada in the coming months hence I wanted to understand the job market for a similar profile. Sorry if this question does not make sense to you. The sole purpose in asking this question is to understand whether I will be successful to establish a career there.
Also, which Cloud technology is in use more or which one is more absorbed by most companies. I am planning to get certified in a Cloud technology which will be helpful in my job search there.

Would encourage you to remain open to settling in another city if there are better opportunity. Tech jobs are not only in Toronto. Would also be considering Montreal, Ottawa, Kitchener/Waterloo and Vancouver. It is always best to remain flexible when looking for jobs especially if our first job in Canada.

IT DBA is in demand, you'll be able to secure a job (has to be location/province open at start), Canadian Experience is not really required in IT. Cloud and any specialized experience/skill will help you not only in finding a job, but finding a highly paying one.
