Refusal of Visit visa

Hello everyone,

I was refused for the temporary resident in Canada (today). These are 2 points I have come across in the letter that I have received.

. I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
. I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee.

I'm from India and I have applied the whole application by myself looking into each and every detail. I had given my bank statements and mentioned about the stay for less than 6 months.

Kindly help me in this as I feel to explain them the things. I don't want be a new applicant (from my view). Kindly suggest me something please.

There is no appeal so you would have to apply again from the beginning.

What did you put for your reason for visiting? What did you put for assets in your name? Property, cars...etc? Are you currently working? How much finances did you show in your statement? What ties do you have to India that would ensure you go back?

Thank you for the reply.
Family visit is the reason that I have mentioned in the application (visiting my uncle). And I just have about my bank statements of previous 6 months. I have recently resigned from my job and has come out of the organization. I have mentioned $1000 CAD about my funds to stay in Canada.
In the invitation letter too it was mentioned very detailed and clearly about to and fro dates of my travel.

Did I do wrong somewhere???? Do I need to give bio-metrics now again as a new applicant or the bio-metrics which I have given recently is that considered back??????

Your funds available are far too low. This won't even cover the flight. Exactly how long a visit were you planning?

Seems like visiting your uncle is a little weak purpose. Did you indicate what exactly you wanted to do while in Canada? What places you wanted to see.....day to day itinerary? How long did you say you wanted to come for?

Quitting your job means you have one less tie to India. Now it seems like you have no reason to return to India, no job, no wife or kids? No property? Did you list any assets to your name?

I would agree that $1000 is low. That works out to roughly 53,000 Indian rupees. A return flight to Canada alone will be roughly anywhere from 60,000 to 100,000 Indian rupees depending on timings length of layover etc. So the reason they gave personal assets and financial situation is that it does not make sense that someone would spend equivalent to their whole bank balance for one trip. That is just for the flight not counting any thing you wish to buy or sightsee. On top of that you have quit your job, so when you go back to India what would be your plan? You would likely go back with zero in bank balance and no job?

The profile doesn't look like someone who genuinely wants to visit or someone who has strong reasons to return in my opinion.

Yeah thank you and I understood what you have said totally. I guess without any job he might have thought that I wouldn't return back to India and so. And coming to the itinerary my uncle sent me an invitation letter where he did mention that she's visiting me on vacation purpose for a period of 5 months (February end to mid of July), about the food, shelter and the financial support that he's going to give me for my stay as well.

My tickets for to and fro have been booked by them, the invitation letter, bank statements seemed fine to me. I strongly think that somewhere I have made a mistake. Basically I don't have any assets on my name a car or a house. All I had was my job and I had to resign because of settlement of my marriage.

5 months is far too long a visit and demonstrates that you effectively have no ties to your home country. If you reapply - you should request 2-3 weeks at most.

It doesn't matter if your host is going to be covering your food and shelter costs. You must still show that you have enough funds to cover these items. I would recommend that you not reapply until you have a lot more money saved.

Okay got it thank you a lot @scylla for taking time and answering. Anyways now I'll be applying directly by spouse sponsorship providing them all the necessary documents. Hope so this goes well for me.

so it seems like you have a spouse who is a Canadian citizen or PR? It can be tough to get a visitor visa in such circumstances. Because a visitor is for temporary residence while your intent is to move to Canada permanently.
They do look for funds from your side as well, because though your uncle can invite you they legally cannot be forced to pay for you. Lets say by some chance you get into a fight and they say get out......it would be up to you to pay for your stay in Canada, they would not be forced to pay for you.
