you should not have applied by paper. it takes a long time for documents to be sent to canada and back.

if it exceeded the normal processing times just use the ircc webform to ask
I wrote to them, they replied, took my information but now it's over 15 business days and they are not responding. how long should I wait or should i write them again.

I also applied 9th July paper based no response , they say they will reply in 15 business working day but they don’t . Your best bet is to pray and be patient

thanks for your reply. what does your timeline for the online application say, have they asked you for the medical examination or the background check ?

There's DEFINITELY something wrong with what you're doing, I have applied on june 1st, and got the final decision on july 2nd. Unfortunately in my case it was a refusal, but everyone I know who applied got the final decision within a month. It does vary from country to country but in general it never exceeds 2 months at all. I personally know many many people and never have I read 4 months, even online.
You're doing something wrong for sure, also sending documents through papers or online doesnt make a difference in speed. Only if you're applying through a VAC which will take an extra week, and thats it.
My guess is, you've given a missing document and they require it to continue the application and so they have paused it, but in general if you dont reply within a certain amount of time they just refuse the application.

Also I think most July applications are in queue, lots of July applicants from different countries have been waiting for over 3-4 months now. Also for paper applications I heard it takes long for documents to be sent to Canada and back . Coupled with the elections they had . But let’s all hope for the best , it will turn out in praise
