If you have a not expired PR card and have lived outside of Canada for 4 years therefore not met the residency obligation then next time you enter the country if this is discovered by CBSA they could start the process to revoke your PR status. You could be lucky and enter without being reported in which case you would need to stay put for minimum 2 years to meet your residency obligation. In this time you should not try to renew your card when it expires.
If still outside Canada when the card expires you would need a PRTD to return to Canada and in applying if you have failed the residency obligation that would likely start the process to revoke status.

Good point and in fact not advisable to sponsor anyone spouse/partner or children. In fact until in compliance recommended to have little or no contact with immigration. The 2 years out of 5 years residency is seen as being pretty generous compared to many other countries .To add to the above, if you are planning to sponsor a spouse/partner, you cannot do so until you are compliant with RO unless you want to risk your status.
No there could be some big sacrifices for your family if you are newly married or had a child after getting PR. If you get reported your reason for not being able to meet the RO will be assessed and you also will have the opportunity to appeal. You were aware that you needed to spend 2 years in Canada as of 5 years from your landing date. That is very lenient. You didn’t follow the rules so there could be consequences.so it means there is no chance to come in canada?
Good day, I just want to ask something regarding residency obligation, I landed in Canada lasr july 7, 2018 and go back to my home country last july 21, 2019. Other people told me thta I should go back to Canada before reaching 6 months so that my PR status wont be revoked, Is that true?or is it just better for me to go back because I have been a resident for less than 5 years? And I am planning to get married this January and before goin back to Canada, should I wait for my 2 years physically present in Canada to be able to sponsor|? or can I apply right away.

No there is no current rule that you have to return after 6 months. You must be in Canada 2 out of 5 years.
