Hello! I applied for extension my study permit in early June and I still do not have any updates. Yesterday, my international advisor spoke with IRCC person in the call centre and they told her that officer extended the time for processing my case until February 4, 2020. And they told her that my case was taken 'under control', but they are really didn't' tell a reason and they refused to give office information to contact them. My question is, is it anything I can do? I mean like I do not even know why it is happening, I do not have anything to hide, I didn' t lie in my application. What I want to do know is to know the reason why my application 'under control' and maybe contact the office when my application processing somehow or maybe transfer my application in another office. I was thinking about hiring a lawyer and ask him to help me, but I still think is it a good idea or I just need to wait? I continue studying because I am under implement status but still I fell very uncomfortable because I want to know exactly what happens with my application. My parents and friends told me just wait because they think that lawyer somehow can just make the officer angry or something like this.o_O So, I just need any advice that can help me do not do some stupid decisions ....

Hey ,

When is your course due to start? Also I'm not sure what 'under control' would mean ? I would ask for clarification from your advisor.
