PPR Extension

I got my PPR today which I am so happy about!
But...does anyone know how long you can get an extension for?
I am due to go on holiday on Mon 18th of July until 14th of August and so would need more than two months?
I never in a million years thought I was going to get my PPR so early...

Is there a reason you are worried here? As I don't see any need for extension.

Your holiday is more than a month away, you should submit your passport as there are good chances you will receive it back by 18th Jul.

Yes, but make sure you provide them with an address of a friend or family where they can send your PR card, so that they can courier it to you for re-entry into Canada, unless you want to go through the pain of ordering a travel document.

I received PPR request last week and have to submit before the end of this month. But I have submitted my passport renewal application 2 weeks ago in Ottawa embassy. I am expecting to receive my passport in 6 weeks. I tried to escalate the situation in the Ottawa Indian Embassy but they said they can't do anything.

Can I request for extension? Do CIC give you extension?

on your PPR you should have an email address that tells you that if you have any concerns or cannot submit PP within the time email us at ********(their email address )

i had extended mine. but i am loca to ottawa. i just dropped a mail to cpc ottawa and 60 day extension was granted

Awesome, thanks. Am still in IP2 but have an international travel coming up from Dec 3rd to Dec 12th. Preparing for the course of action.

Has anyone received PPR extension beyond 60 days?

Sorry to invoke an old thread, but I'm in a tricky spot - My AOR was Jan 20, so estimated completion was July 20. I made international travel plans accordingly. But now the status has changed to "Your application is taking more than usual to process". My estimated travel dates are Sep 15 - Oct 15.

So unless I get a PPR before Aug 15 (seems unlikely given some people who applied for AOR 2 months are still waiting), I am going to need an extension a tad over the original 30 + extra 30 days that people are apparently getting.

Would it be prudent to email CIC now and ask for an extension even before my PR application is approved?
What is the longest #days CIC takes to stamp passport with COPR?
