Hey guys, I have been a big lurker of this forum since 2016 when I firstly had a goal to come to Canada. It is now time to do it. I am European Citizen (not eligible under IEC), however I recently obtained British Citizenship and applied for IEC (2 years). I got invited to apply today. I have 1 year of skilled work experience in the UK & I just started another skilled job in London.

Question 1:
• Is it better to come to Canada with 1 year work experience abroad, find a a skilled job and apply through the CEC or wait another 2 years and have 2 years of work experience abroad and then apply for CEC.

I got all the documents ready - ECA, Police Certificates, Proof of Funds, Work Experience letters, except IELTS. I have it, but it has a low WRITING SCORE so I have to take it again.

Question 2:
• If I apply through CEC with 1 year work experience in 1 NOC in Canada, 1 year work experience in another abroad, and 1 year work experience in third NOC, would I still get the same points as if the 2 years experience abroad are in the same NOC?

It's very confusing. I will be slowing down the process for my IEC, because I want to get 1 year of work experience in my current employer even though all of my documents are ready to apply.

You can answer most of those questions yourself by trying to understand the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) -
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/criteria-comprehensive-ranking-system/grid.html

you can input different scenarios using the calculator to see how changes to your profile will result in a change to your CRS score.
