Hi all,

Filling my taxes through simple tax, I have been filling my taxes since I came to Canada in 2013 as a student, I became a PR this year, in the return it says "Did you become a resident of Canada (immigrate) for tax purposes in 2018?" i put yes as I landed in Feb of 2018.

under the Canadian income and foreign income, I have been working in Canada since 2016, and I got my 2018 T4 for the whole year. under the Canadian income should I put the income I got for the first month before i "landed"? or should I put 0 since my T4 already has all my income?

thank you

You have been working in Canada since 2016, therefore you became a tax resident in 2016. You should be answering "NO" to the question. All income earned in 2018 should be reported.
