Hi All, i am planning to immigrate to Quebec, i would like to know if it is mandatory to have the so called "
Évaluation comparative des études effectuées hors du Québec" in order to get the related education and domain of formation points since on the dedicated site and distributed points it is not clear. while, when applying to Canada an ECA is required before starting the express entry profile otherwise you are eligible under the skilled worker program

Here are the differences between an Évaluation comparative des études effectuées hors du Québec (Comparative evaluation for studies done outside Québec) AND an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA)

Évaluation comparative des études effectuées hors du Québec:
is an expert opinion issued for information purposes that establishes a general comparison between two official education systems. The comparative evaluation describes the academic documents and indicates which Québec academic milestones (or principal diplomas) and areas of training are comparable to studies done outside Québec. These experts are the "Ordres professionnels" / "regulatory bodies" whom authorize people practicing their career (regulted professions e.g. Architects, Engineers, Dentists..)

Educational Credential Assessment:
is a report by an independent company that evaluates your foreign education. For Express Entry, it is used to report to make sure that your foreign degree, diploma, certificate (or other proof of your credential) is valid and equal to a Canadian one.

--> The "Ordres professionnels" / "regulatory bodies" do the equivalence and the organisations such as WES / ICAS do the evaluation

So, for Arrima system is not necessary the number of ECA report.

Thanks Seeak for the reply, however when reading about the " Évaluation comparative des études effectuées hors du Québec", it seems not addressed to the regulatory body rather it is addressed to " Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Diversité et de l’Inclusion" as per this link http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/publications/fr/evaluation-etudes/TAB_objectif_personneIMMIGRANT.pdf, so till now i am not able to understand why that evaluation is needed since is not a permit from the regulatory body nor will add more points to the Arrima system. In addition, when i checked with the " orders des ingenieurs quebec" they need the assessment process to be done from zero and they rely on the WES assessment only beside other documentation, i appreciate your feedback

Hi @SNota , Hope you got an answer somewhere already.. it's been a while though since your question
BTW, I can't see any info on all your degree data: BCA.. PGDBA..SCDL
Without providing what all these abbr. letters mean at the time of question, I think it'd be hard for anyone who would like to help to guess what all those letters really mean.
