Dear all senior members,

Please shed some light.

0711 - construction managers
2131 - Civil engineer
2231 - civil engineer technologists & technicians

I need a help in choosing the correct NOC for my job duties performed. Its getting confused between 03 NOC codes likely 0711, 2131, 2231.

Basically, am a civil engineer from construction planning background with 5.5 years experience & most of the job responsibilities matches with the NOC code 0711 of construction managers(65%) items 6/9, but I don't have any managerial roles performed during these years. Also, in mine, all documents the designation is written as the civil engineer only.

In case of 2131 out of 14 responsibilities matching only 03, otherwise I want to tailor the letter to match the NOC job responsibilities.

In case of 2231 out of 5 responsibilities matching only 03, here too I want to tailor the letter to match the NOC job responsibilities.

Please help me out in choosing the correct NOC.

Thanks well in advance.

Well u are the right person to decide which NOC suits you. Nevertheless one thing which can make ur job easy in selecting the NOC is the reference letter. The reference letter which u get from your employer should have details of ur job roles and responsibilities and should match at least 70-80% of the NOC roles.

Dear james_tvm,

I'm in similar situation with you, as I'm a project engineer working in oil company for flowline projects. My current duties match with 0711 of construction manager however my role is not a managerial job. I would be very grateful if you can share your own experience.
Thanks in Advance

NOC Code......
0711
Dear All,

I am working as a Planning Engineer since last 4 years . does NOC-0711 suits best for me?.
Also I have a express entry profile with CRS -393.
Can I opt for any PNP .
I have appeared for IELTS twice and got the result - L -8.5/ R-8/S-7.5/W-6.5
Would I have to change my NOC to 2131?
I have also prepared a letter of reference for 2 years from my previous employer.
I would like to share that and take your reviews on that

Can you tell a bit more about your educational background and exact nature of your work. Because based on that a suitable NOC could be suggested for CIC fit.

Can a Civil Engineer apply under FSW and obtain PR even though he has not a licenced in Canada??

Also in the question of CRS: Level of education where does Civil Engineering falls? I am confused as civil engineering needs a licensed but is also a bach degree...
1. Bachelor degree (3 or more years program at a university)
2. Master OR professional degree needed to practice in a licensed profession?
