Hey guys, I need a quick response please has anyone ever update/removed representative before ? Is it good to do with web form ? Also most important concern, how many days it actually it takes to get it updated ??

April 6th Applicant, AOR 2 June 13, 2017
Yes we did remove our representative last week he drove me crazy lieing all the time whenever I asked him to do enquirie but he didn't do much ignoring us. I got connect GCKey application to my account After removing him I noticed on Esac his mailing address was removed.

Wow what a coincidence.. I did the same last week :) ... Seriously he ruined my spouse file :(

Can you please let me know how many days it took to get your info updated ? For me the mailing address was same as mine when I had him as my representative ...

Now next challenge would be to link the file to our respective CIC login. Did you able to do that successfully.. When I try to do it shows me no application found ?

What could be the reason ? May be it is still linked with representative account ? Confused !!

Yes this is my 2nd trip.. or 1st trip after my application is submitted.

As long as you are employed, 6 weeks travel outside of CA shouldn' be an issue.
today morning i called CIC regarding travelling outside canada on Vacation being sponsor,,said it wont affect our application as long as we follow up with their email communications regarding any docs submitting on time.So good to go and visit your parents n spouse in India without a problem.

I had many issues with my representative as well and removed him in October 2017; I sent NDVO a CSE to confirm that my representative was removed and also asked about the status of my application.

Hey Sue .. Thanks for showing up .. Did you able to link your file to MyCIC account once you removed yours representative. Can you please guide me of the steps. When I try to put my spouse info it is showing application not found ...
Try these steps:

Application Details

Application Number and Family Name:

Place of birth

City – Leave blank, one space

Country of Birth: India

Passport:

Issue Date: (Y/M/D)

Expiry Date: (Y/M/D)

Where does the applicant intend to live in Canada?

Province:

City:

Current Marital Status: Married

Number of family members, including the primary applicant, that are part of this application: 2

After you should see this screen:

Disassociate Representative

Based on the information you entered, we found: 1 application

We see that you have a representative tied to this application. Your representative has access to your application.

If you no longer want to use a representative and access the application yourself, you can cancel your representative by filling out the Use of a representative form [IMM5476] (PDF, 647.96 kb) and choose "cancelling the appointment of a representative."

Make sure the Sponsor and Principal Applicant fill a new Use of Representative form; Check cancelling the representative and appointing the sponsor as the new representative. As well as Signatures; the account will be linked instantly!

Thank you so much.. I tried this

City – Leave blank, one space
However, it is not allowing me to move further I mean to search an application. I try to put blank space didn't work as well. Then finally I entered my spouse city of birth the results are still the same. No application found !!

Is it the reason as it is already linked to my representative account ?

No that's not the reason; my representative linked my account to his GCKEY too; but you can cancel your representative anytime. Just keep playing around with it; trying different ways; you will get it eventually. I don't think it locks you out or anything?

After removing him did you get updates to your email?
