Hello,

I got my COPR on November and I'll be landing in Toronto on the 7th of April. However I applied from Saudi Arabia as I'm currently working there but I'll be leaving Saudi permanently on the 25th of February and shall travel from Egypt to Canada.
So my question is, does it make a difference to land from a different country than that which is mentioned in the COPR?

regards,
Hazem

Should not be an issue if you are changing residence after CoPR was received. But to be on the safe side, keep all documents of your change (when, how, why etc.) with you on in person when you land for the first time.

Doesn't matter if there was anything negative, the last thing you want to do is misrepresent to IRCC. Have everything handy and answer any questions asked truthfuly.

All said and done, though, it should not be an issue.

Hope that helps.

It is not at all an issue. You will not be asked a single question about it when you land, hence, you will not need to show/explain anything related to that. Good Luck!

Hi Hazem,

I’m in similar situation right now. I want to travel to Canada from the country of my origin and not the country of residence (the one I applied from) listed on my COPR. Have you had any issues during the landing process?

Would appreciate any information. Thank you!

Any updates on this anyone? My situation is very similar. Flying from Pakistan even though my Country of Residence was mentioned as UAE since I was living there at the time I got my COPR.

Any experiences would be much appreciated!!
