(PR card renewal) Address history dates - what if I was traveling in between?

Hi,
I'm filling in my PR card renewal form and I have a question about my address history.

I left one residential place after selling it in July 2012 and visited my family in my home country for 3 weeks, then came back to Canada and directly went to my new place/house which my then common law partner bought under her name in another province and I moved in there (August 2012). So, about for 3 weeks, I didn't technically have an address in Canada, but neither in any other country.

I could just put down the earlier date as the starting date of my new address but I was out of the country and the new address is in another province so there is no record of me being there until August (i.e. health card, driver's license). In other documents or records I didn't have any issues because they usually just ask about the months. So in this case I was my old address until July 2012 and new one since Aug 2012. (Edit) Actually my partner then was living in her father's place until she got her house closed in August so that new address can't be used in July either...

But when asked the specific dates as in the application form, I'm not sure what to write.
Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Your situation is unique. You should enter the address where you went outside Canada as you didn't technically have a address in Canada as you sold the house and to explain it bit further, write a cover letter with the explanation about the same.
