Implied Status - Traveling to US

Hello everyone,

I have a big dilemma. I am currently on a Study Permit, which expires on Nov 3rd, 2016.
I have already finished my studies, and applied for a PGWP on September 20th, 2016. I am currently waiting for it. I found a job right after school, and I am working at this moment.

I have a conference to attend in the US on November 14th, 2016. I do not think my PGWP will be ready by that time, which means I will be on Implied Status. I can quickly apply for a visitor visa right now, but I am wondering whether I will lose my implied status once I come back. I am afraid of not being able to work anymore. Has anyone ever been through this?

What should I do? This conference is extremely important for me.

Others can comment or correct but other posts on here have suggested that leaving the country whilst on implied status the implied status is either at risk or worst case cancelled. Add to that you still need probably to demonstrate to CBSA reason to be readmitted if you are in fact out of status having to reapply for the PGWP.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
If you leave the country while on implied status, you lose that status. You can only return as a visitor, at the discretion of the border agents, and wouldn't be able to work.
