If your a Canadian Citizen by birth you can go to Pakistan to live there are Visa Extensions and other ways. Its always good to let them know that you are here with your spouse and always register with Canadian Government that you are in Pakistan in case something happens here God Forbid. As a foreigner you must register with the Local Police as well so they keep alert in case you are Kidnapped God Forbid. I`m not trying to scare you. But I have been coming here since 2010 and have lived here many times over a year at times. Its always best to be aware of all things. It will also make your case stronger. Send CIC Immigration Islamabad a photo copy of your boarding pass. Happy Travels

Thanks micmac101 for your concern and kind reply. I have been previously advised by the forum members that NOT to advise LVO regarding being with my spouse as I can run into 2 problems (1- Prove of resettlement in Canada, 2- further delays in my application, as the may think that since I am with my spouse there is nothing to rush for)?

I am already here in Pak. And am planning to stay here till my file has been processed. Question I still hold is, if my spouse is called for an interview (God Forbid). They will ask about my current job or what I do in Canada etc etc. This is where I feel scared. Kindly members advise the best you all can so I can reach to a decision to go back or just relax and stay here for may be another (7-8 months) till the processing has been done.

Since Pakistani law does not permit the mailing of Pakistani passports from Pakistan to other countries, we will not ask you to submit your passport to our office in London. The issuance of your permanent resident visa will be a two-step process. Step 1: Follow the instructions in this letter to submit the requested items to our office in London. Please carefully read the enclosed/attached ‘Step 2' instructions for submitting your passports in precisely 2 weeks. Step 2: Do not submit your passport to our Islamabad office until 2 weeks after you submit your documents to London. The Islamabad office cannot issue your visa before we instruct them to do so; (if you submit your passport early, it will be returned to you without a visa). The Islamabad office can only mail passports to addresses in Pakistan. If you will want your passports returned to an address outside of Pakistan, then this letter does not apply to you. Inform us immediately so that we can send you different instructions. Step 1: Submit the documents listed below to our office in London. Hello.
Where does one find the
"Send them a Case specific Inquiry dost. That is what we can do, asking about our file. order Notes as well."
Is this a specific from from the CIC website, I had one CIC telephone rep tell me there was such a form, then did not provide me where to find it, before transferring my call to the another area. I have had another CIC telephone rep tell me there is no such form, after I called back realizing the CIC rep did not tell me how to get the form.

Any information or pointer to this form is appreaciated.
We applied in October 2011 Spousal Sponsorship In Canada and our file was transferred to an CIC Inland office in February 2014...going onto three years. how depressing.

Hi Bro...can you please elaborate when and what doc you sent to LVO as proof? I was planning to send my honeymoon proof but CIC call center rep asked me not to send anything until asked. Would it be better to send the docs anyway?

I submitted my wife's case in March 2013 but haven't heard anything as yet. My file was transferred to LVO in Feb 2014. This is really getting frustrating now but I guess there's nothing i can do about it.

Salam, when I read your words I was beyond shock. Do you not know that the Visa Office also does a check on you and your background. Just as they check out your husband from Pakistan they also check on your back ground. Look under FOSS in GSMS your listed there about your background. Also you must have detail plans on where your living in Canada.

SCIS can come at your door with just a phone call as they did to me. That interview lasted over 4 hours. Just as the Immigrant is searched so is the sponsor.

The one who said to not to inform the CIC Immigration Islamabad must have no brains. This makes your case stronger as it shows your case is Genuine. CIC Islamabad said they are taking steps now to start having couples come to the Interview Together. One at a time will be Interviewed then together.

If you don't have a living arrangement in Canada to come back to you are setting yourself up in trouble. Also Revenue Canada is also aware if you work and all offices are checked. Why not be honest with Immigration as its your best step. If your lying now how does it make your case honest in the first place??
They don't mind when couples live together its good but lies they do not accept!!

Well first thing first, Order CAIPS or GCMS notes by checking this thread how to oder notes. you will know exactly what visa officer is thinking about your case in the end to these notes they write what they want for further clarification.
2nd its been more than 11 months so shoot Case specific inquiry that you have surpassed the normal processing time of 11 months. dont even consider that your file transferred in Feb 2014. just ask them.
3rd. additional docs means. pictures, call logs, skype logs, phone bills, your pay stubs, these docs must prove your relationship and your residency.
My recomendations
1st cse to LVO regarding delay in processing of your application
2nd caips notes
3rd wait for inquiry answer and caips notes
4th send additional docs after seeing notes
5 send again CSE that have you received docs or not.
6 send another CSE that you have not received your orignal docs i.e. Nikah nama etc

I hope i have elaborated as per your requirements.

Well I was lucky in a sense that they started working on my file. then i sent some documents voluntarily. u can do that. dont u worry. when they start working on your file. LVO is very quick after that.
