The next documents will get will probably be those of CIC requesting your passport to stamp the visa.

Meanwhile, go back to the waiting couch... that's all you can do at the moment.

Hi all,

everyone is requested to participate

on August ,2005 I lodged my complete application to London office

on June, 2007 they requested the standard file update , ,however, they indicated the timeframe for the next step to be within 3-5 months .

on July,2007 I sent complete update as instructed .

yet , I heared nothing .

I emailed the office requesting the status of my application , they emailed back , that my file has been reviewd , and request for immigration summary form was mailed to my address .

what does that mean , and why that form was not requested along with the update .

please any expectation about the remaining time and next steps

thank u

Since you have completed your medicals, your interview has been waived, even though they do not tell you so in writing. It is an option CIC will use in case they need clarifications from you or your paperwork is incomplete.

Have you sent you "Personal Worth Statement" with your bank statements ?
And which Visa office are you dealing with ?

Hi Mike
Thanks for the emial.
Infact I applied for the skilled worker immigrant in London office.
My medical (me and family) have alreayd been received by the CIC in London, however there was one doc missing and that was my Plice certificate from my country. (i live in Dubai) and my country of birth is Pakistan. So i had to make a police certificate from Pak. So I also sent the original police certificate from my country to them today. :)

Yes i have already sent them the "personal worth statement" and all the docs which the visa officer requested. Although my case took a little while (4 years) but i think finally its about to complete. however i will always my reservation as long as I receive the landing papers. coz u never know what the immi officer may ask. Yes i was also of the view that my interview have been waived. although they never mentioned in any letter. So let see.

We have the Canadian High commission in Abu Dhabi (UAE), and its 5 minutes walk from my home. I guess I am gona walk and take my passports to the embassy for the visa stamp.

Mustee,

Your visa stamping will be done by CIC, London. You may have to submit your passports to the Canadian High commission in Abu Dhabi to be forwarded to London.

How long since your Medicals/submission of PCC. If it is over two months send them an email with your case file number and request for a status. london-im-enquiry@ international.gc.ca
My medicals were done in October 2007 and only now I was informed that a letter was sent out two months ago for a passport request and that letter was lost in the post.

Hi Mike
My medicals were done on 21st Jan 2008, and CIC received them on 27th Jan. My RPRF (980CAD$) was received by CIC on 28th Jan as well. My police certificate from my country will be received by CIC tomorrow "March 4, 2008, (via DHL)".

After that I haven't heard from CIC and neither have I received any other requirements to send them. So I guess there only waiting to do.

I wonder about sending the passport to UK? SO the embassy in UAE will send the passports to UK? So how much time does it take to get back the passports? I hope not much...???!!! I wonder why cant the embassy in UAE will stamp the visa.... it’s just a sticker they can always talk to London office and manage things here locally...!!!!

Any idea mike?

And why have they lost your letter? That’s awful..!!! Do they send ordinary post or registered. So what did u do once Ur letter was lost? Did they send you new letter?

well good luck then...!

cheers
