Thanks Nevaeha! I really like this forum and here we are not alone in this. I really want to go see him in the near future but I don't want to plan my trip yet, we are just sitting tight and waiting to see if we will hear some good news soon. Because I have work commitments up until mid-March, time off is not an option. I am holding off on booking any flights because he may be able to come here instead. I will just have to wait and see how things go.

he will be there sooner then you think!

I am just curious do you know why an interview is requested? Was it due to the age difference, photos submitted or online dating marriage after meeting the first time. I'm trying to get a better idea of your situation.

Just a question out of curiosity do the VO's question a relationship more if an individual has left canada to go and get married in another country compared to both dating individuals that got married in the same country?
If married in the same country is a interview usually waived?

in all cases, they try to waive the interview at all times. only when they truly have more questions for you about the genuineness of the relationship, then they will ask for an interview. I have been on here for a year and we have only had two calls for interviews. Ready and Maddants. But as to the relationship as based on a marriage here or a marriage in JA......the marriages in JA usually get thru faster because most times the spouse has never left JA......the things that will make your application longer is leaving JA for another country, refugee status, dependants on the application, genuineness of relationship etc...

I would think that it would be good for him to know that because if they ask him why he can answer "because you are native then you have dual citizenship in the US and in Canada". If you were born in the US then he should now the details in case they ask....like the city and State.
It will look better if he knows every little thing about you especially because you met on line........they really test these because of the negative feedback etc from online relationships....please don't get me wrong..i am not saying you two are not in love because I have talked to Maddants and he truly loves you with all his heart......but there is always the others that ruin it for some and they will be checking for this.....and it is better if he knows as much about you as possible.....
Thanks Chickie. I think I will have to fill him a bit more on this native status thing, although he is up to date I could talk to him more about it. He knows what schools I attended when I lived in U.S. etc. ...that part of my life when I use to live in U.S. and why I left to live in Canada. Mainly because most of my family lives here in Canada and I like my job and the area where I live. Yes, it is hard to believe I fell in love with him and met him on-line, but he just has that likeable personality that everyone likes. If I could, I would stay there with him until this is over LOL! But realistically work is a priority in Canadian lives. I would like to go spend some more time with him for a few weeks if this process is still dragging along, but have to wait till my work commitments have slowed down and don't have programs to run and can take a break. I have 6 weeks of vacation for this year would love to spend every minute of it with him LOL. But we will wait and see where this process goes before I plan anything. ;)

We don't know why, it could be the age difference and the fact that we met on line. History about our relationship was on lined based but we got to know so much about each other and just knew it was meant to be. Our communication spiraled and we were talking to each other constantly by phone. on line/and on Skype, night and day whenever we could. We still are like that today, as we miss each other so much. But we knew it is love then came the wedding plans. When I went to see him for the first time, I had no doubts and knew I didn't want to live without him. In Jamaica, I got to meet his family and wanted to get to know as many as I could, because they are a part of my family now, just like he is a part of mine here. He got to know my family here very well through the use of Skype and the many phone calls, and the last thing is for them to meet him in person. If Maddants wasn't what I expected him to be, there was always the option of not going through with the wedding. But finally meeting him in person, I knew it was the right thing and if I could stay in Jamaica I would have, but I wouldn't be willing to give up my job or my home to do so. I work for a branch of Health Canada (but still at the bottom of the ladder LOL) and that would be hard for anyone to leave with all the benefits and the amount of vacation time I have every year. So here we are, hoping to make the best of it with my hubby by my side. Going through this sponsorship process to bring us together and follow through with the plans we have for each other. Our love story began and we want to continue it together. :)

This is super cute and very honest! Good luck on your interview. You sound like a very genuine couple and shouldn't have any problems. The interview is just the next step to getting him home with you. Best of luck and wishes to you Mr and Mrs

I am sure you both will get through this journey together thank you for taking the time to explain the situation. I'm sure the VO will see the love you both have for each other. Maddants will soon be home in your arms.

You are so right, if going through this sponsorship does not bring couples closer together I don't know what will. All the best to you and the Mr. No one plans on falling in love, it is something that just happens. It doesn't matter how you met, online, in church, at a funeral, at a wedding..no one knows when love is going to happen. It's just an act of the Almighty God, my father and saviour. That is what I believe anyways. I met my busband when I least expected. We were "suppose" to meet up actually one year almost to the date we actually laid eyes on each other. He was a wonderful surprize. God is so amazing! He had this 6ft 3'' man waiting for me but I was impatient at first and didn't want God to choose for me. Everytime I choosed for myself I got hurt. I finally let go and let God do his marvellous work. One day I will tell you all the story. God Bless everyone. Have a wonderful weekend. I am already sending positive vibez for another great week of reunification of families. The bible says that where 2 or more are gathered God is in the midst, so if maybe we could all arrange a time that we could all be the forum we can do a universal prayer. I would love to have my hubby right now, however I am willing to wait until my turn. I wish all the people that have been waiting before me could get through. Be blessed, to God be the glory for all he has done and will continue to do.

Good morning chickie, can you please add to my file that meds have been received. Hubby completed his meds check from Oct 12 so when I sent in the application I guess the meds info was already waiting..I guess.

I contaced the KIN office via email yesterday and they emailed me back telling me that they have received my files and it is being processed. I was happy to hear that, not sure what it means. They were not specific as to when they received it, but happy just the same. They must be working very hard because they answered me in less than an hour..to God be the glory, God is Good.

I got the email at work and felt so energized. They could have told me to send his passport in, I was so excited. I wonder how I will be able to handle it when I reach that last stage of passport. Knowing me I will probably be dancing on the desks at work, LOL. I can just see me now..LOL. :D :D :D :D

Congratulations to all thoses who are doing their own happy dancing.

Good morning famz,

Hey LDL did you hear anything yet in regards to your application yet?
Morning oneandonly. We have heard from Kingston only in reply to our emails. They emailed us to tell us our application had reached kingston, and then they emailed hubby with the general email they send to say that his application is in que for review. Our file was only transferred early november. What about you? Have you guys heard from Kingston?
