I applied June 2023, Criminality In Progress & Security not started. I do not have the dates as i got Lawyer. but i keep calling. there is no end to this. I am becoming depressed & mental. My wife & child says i have become Negative person & even talking with me makes them upset. the way i see everything is just heart breaking. i have ruined my life, i have lost my personality, my confidence, my social & financial capability all because of this endless waiting without any clue. I am sorry I do not want to pull others down by saying all this. but this is the truth.

Hi everyone,
I’ve finally decided to pursue a mandamus application because I honestly feel like I have no other options left. I submitted my PR application as a Protected Person in March 2023, and I’ve been waiting for approximately 43–44 months. I’ve also been stuck in comprehensive security screening for about 19 months.
My eligibility and criminality checks have been completed, but my security screening is still ongoing. I’ve contacted IRCC and my MP’s office multiple times, but unfortunately, I still haven’t received a decision.
This long wait has seriously affected my life and my ability to plan for the future. I feel that I need to take legal action rather than continue waiting indefinitely.
Before moving forward, I would really appreciate your advice?????

I believe the only option for you now is filing the Mandamus. I know someone who filed Mandamus back in 2025 and got her fd 5 months after submitting to thr court. The most important thing for you is a really experience lawyer. Don’t go for cheap ones imo

Actually, 2023 people are so unlucky in here.
All of us handle mental and financial problems with this much delay
And when I check 2025, people from the same country, same application got P1 after 1 year and a half fell There’s no fairness at all

But please be careful about yourself and family, all these things are because of a better life.
You will get it.
