Thank you so much for your response !!! It gives me a little hope. How long did they give you to respond? Was it 30 days?
Hmmm it was around 15 days for me! Just make sure the resume is consistence with the rest of your application. I submitted them and got my p1 3 days later

Actually, the CV is related to IMM 5669. When we reviewed everything more closely, we realized that we had messed up a little. We had misunderstood some of the questions, hadn't gone all the way back to when he was 18, and had left some gaps. We had to add some things we had forgotten.

What stresses me out is the possibility that IRCC might think we did it intentionally, when in reality, we were just overwhelmed with everything else involved in the application. I remember that when we were working on that section, my husband had so many jobs at the same time back in his home country, so it was really difficult to keep track of everything. Plus, my husband is the type of person who has trouble even remembering what he did the day before hahah

Anyway, let's see how it goes!! Thanks again!!

Don’t worry. I did miss some information on that IMM 5669 form (had 2 months gap), which I included when they asked again. As long as the information on both CV and updated IMM5669 is consistence, then it’s good!

Today, we noticed an update on our spousal sponsorship application.

Latest update — Final decision: October 16, 2026

“Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.”

The overall application status still says that IRCC is processing our application.

All four assessment stages—biometrics, medical exam, eligibility, and background check—are now marked as Completed. The tracker also shows a COPR document number and an expiry date of August 31, 2027, but we haven't received any P1 or P2 emails or the e-COPR yet.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Does the “Final decision” update dated October 16, 2026, along with the COPR details and all assessment stages marked as completed, mean that the application has been approved?

For those who have gone through this process, how long did you wait to receive your P1 email, P2 email, and e-COPR after seeing similar updates?

Any insights or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi, congrats to you. From my experience in applying my study and work permit, when the FD date is updated, you will get the official email very soon from IRCC. I submitted my application in January. I'm so surprised that it is finally processing our applications. Please keep updated. This really means a lot to me.
