someone i know told me, for their pr card, it took it 2.5 months after applying, they received it yesterday in mail

You don’t need a valid PR card to live in Canada so not an issue if there is a time where you don’t have a valid PR card. You appear to be going through normal processing so you are likely looking at receiving a new PR card sometime in November if there are no issues.

I called ircc today to get information on application submitted on September 13th but they said they don’t have it in their system and also they confirmed me that processing time starts (38 days current processing time) only when the application is in their system or the day officer starts working on your application.

Current Processing time doesn’t mean when you submitted your application

Submitted on Sep.6 th. My status on json changed to 20 today. PR Portal is still showing "submitted." Hope I'll get the card soon.

Very soon, according to people it will still say submitted even after you get your card. 20 is good sign. Probably you’ll get your card soon

Called today and the agent was able to locate my application and said its almost done the input completion stage and then an officer will start processing it.

Hello, i applied on Spetember 8th and i called them and the agent said they are processing August 26th applications. Can you clarify how they able to locate your application and what should i ask them ?

Yes! I called today as well. They mentiooned to me the exact thing - August 26th applications are currently being checked for completeness.
