Hello everyone,
I created my express entry profile showing one year of foreign experience under 21231 which is software engineers, and designers. I just got the detailed experience letter from my employer abroad, and based on the responsibilities that they’ve listed on the letter, my experience more aligns with 21230-Computer systems developers and programmers. They’ve also given me a different job title than what I’ve put in to create my express entry profile. I haven’t submitted my application yet. I am in the process of changing my application to reflect these facts. Will I run into any trouble for this change? I applied for all of my previous immigration documentation using the previous job title because my joining letter has a different job title than my experience letter even though I didn’t get a promotion and I did the same job throughout my tenure at the company. Just a note they’re very similar. They’re both TEER 2 jobs. Any help is appreciated, thank you.
Joining letter Job Title/ NOC Code : Associate Systems Engineer , 21230
Detailed Experience Letter Title / NOC Code : Application Developer, 21231

Since you haven’t submitted the application yet, it’s better to correct the NOC and job title now based on your actual duties and supporting documents. The important part is that your experience genuinely matches the NOC’s duties, not simply the title, so keep both letters and be ready to explain the title difference if needed.
