Thanks for this suggestion. I spoke Joshua and he was genuinely helpful. I just emailed him docs this morning, but to my surprise I got an update on my application just few mins after I sent him the docs.

Now my background verification is complete!!! Just Prohibitions left in progress. Hopefully it moves faster from here.

Finally got our Citizenship folks! Our Oath taking ceremony has been set to July 28th. Hopefully anyone else who has been waiting forever get theirs too!!

Anyone else waiting for background and prohibitions? No update on my file since June 2024. Everything else is completed.
The Nov 2023 thread seems to be most active for the backlog.

My BG changed to completed on 6/25 and back to in progress on the same date. I’ve never been requested to submit fingerprints. Any advice on why it reverted back to in progress ?

We finally received our oath ceremony invitation after waiting 2.5 years!

No calls or notes ordered—just the invitation out of the blue.

AOR: February 26, 2024.

Usually not more than a couple weeks, but at any rate, as the website says - no need to do anything until ~6 days before the ceremony itself.

BG and Prohibitions completed June 26,29. I’m just waiting for my oath invitation. So far no response for the past two weeks
