I’m interested in hearing from people who have gone through Canadian spousal sponsorship where the couple came from different religions and cultural backgrounds.

I am the sponsor and i am canadian citizen christian with Lebanese background and PA is muslim from India.

Have you both been living in Canada during your relationship? How long you been in a relationship? In person time has a significant impact as well as the length of your relationship. Interfaith marriage is fairly common in Canada.

PA is not canadian citizen , its outland sponsorship.
The relationship started online. We have been in relationship for 1 year before we got married.

You can be in Canada and apply Outland. How much time did you spent together in person over how many visits before getting married? How much time gave you spent together since you got married? are you living in Canada now? Any other potential red flags?

I visited her twice before we got married. We couldn't spend any time together after marriage tho. Yes i am living in canada.
Other red flags could be a small ceremony.

Somewhat unusual for marriages to happen so quickly when this isn’t an arranged marriage and not due to cultural/religious reasons. Assume there are no other red flags like major differences in age, education level/wealth, previous attempts to move abroad/immigrate, etc. The fact that this is an interfaith marriage is likely one of the least concerning parts of the sponsorship to IRCC.
