That’s why we are here to help each other with information

Well next time LOL now they already gave medical, now just waiting for the passport request, hopefully wont take long, it has passed more than one month. Keep waiting.

All clinics request for imei , but
When you mention it’s upfront, they know exactly what to do
All was done out of Canada.
Did it for my baby and for parents supervisa and my parents have their supervisa already.
You don’t have to do it that way , but it’s possible everywhere.
Does your baby have his/her own UCI? I thought kids below 18 are under the spouse?

Hello everyone,

I have my dependent outside canada , completed their medical and bimatrice few days back, is this the final stage before requesting their passport? And how much time it will take ? Thank you

No. Still Need to give medical check.
After approved it , they will request for your passport for a visa to come canada and once here, you will have your copr at the airport.
The medical is valid for one year if during that year they don't give you the visa, you will need to give medical again as valid medical check is mandatory for the landing. At least that is why I read about it.

i think when the principal applicant in canada got pr the process of overseas dependent moves faster from my perspective it should take 6-8months for your overseas dependent
Was this your experience?

There is any way to know the status of dependent application outside Canada.

Only through webform
They hardly even send response to that these days
Just automated response confirming reception.
I became pr in April , I have one minor dependent.
No way to check updates.
And last thing I received for minor was pre-arrival last two weeks
I don’t know why a minor who doesnot even give biometrics application will take months after primary applicant gets pr to be processed . Not even like they need a background check on a preschooler. IRCC processes suck.

You need to select Category: Refugee and then Sub category: Refugee PR on the IRCC WebForm. When you choose this, the question asking whether your application is being processed by an overseas office does not appear, dependents under a protected person case are not processed as spousal sponsorship. They fall under the Refugee category, the refugee applications start with G, and spousal sponsorship applications start with F.
I wish I saw this earlier. I already submitted under the spouse category. I guess my application will be returned

I don’t know if I should go ahead and resubmit the document again under the refugee PR category or wait till I get a response.
