In regards to your resume submission, I think that should be good enough.
you can order GCMS for your mothers app. This gives clear information on what the status of the app and what processes happened.
Thank you for the suggestion of the GCMS notes. I will look it up. I don’t have her application number or UCI # … the lawyer has it all but I did find a UCI from an email he sent my mom and I tried it but it doesn’t work. From reading the threads here I figure it may be because we haven’t gotten an AOR yet. This guy is hard to get ahold of and he is the representative. Gonna try your suggestion.

I got the invitation This Morning for - Parents & Grandparents Program(PGP) 2025
To those who have a hard time linking their application to their GCKey account, here is what the IRCC customer service told me in linking the application:

1. Make sure that the Last Name is CAPITALIZED.

2. On the part where you put the number of family members, put the NUMBER of ADULTS in the box (if spouse DIDN’t co-sign, EXCLUDE them). On my application: I have 2 kids, my wife as a co-signer, my self, and my mom and dad. This was where I messed up as I kept putting 6 as the number. It should just be “4”.

For E.G -
A. Enter the application number without the prefix ‘X’.
B. Under Applicant Details, enter the Principal Applicant’s UCI number (if available — you can find it on their visitor visa and search with passport details).
C. Set the number of applicants to ‘3’, and if you are adding your spouse as a co-signer, try setting it to ‘4’.

I finally linked my Parents application and able to see the progress.

Best Number to Call IRCC to get status of Application
1-888-242-2100.
The option to select are 2,3,2,1,3.......

According to the processing time page, it seems that since last month there as no movement in people awaiting for decision and people that are still in front of me.

I applied in September 2025
and last month, It showed 26 months left and 36,000 people ahead of me with 43,500 people waiting for decision.
This month's update shows the same numbers except 25 months left.

PGP is a slow process and there is a backlog and quota was reduced for 2025 after the quotas exploded under Trudeau all while we are in a huge healthcare crisis. Processing time was ~3 years when you applied so you are well within normal processing. Even if it takes years to process getting the opportunity to apply to sponsor your parents is still literally winning the lottery these days given the hundreds of thousands who would trade places with you. Tell your parents that it will likely take a few more years to receive a response about their application so they can manage their expectations.

Yeah I'm very grateful for that to be honest. The only catch is that I have 2 sisters who are studying internationally here paying each 42k CAD a year, so getting PR was going to cut the expenses a lot. But regardless anything, I'm grateful for the opportunity and the luck

I have had heard that if the Parents are already in Canada on a temporary visas, they are processed bit faster. I don't know how much truth is there in this statement but here is an update from my side.

I have applied for my mother in Sep 2025 and she is current here in Canada for the last two years on super visa already. I got Biometric request for her just last week though we already had her biometrics updated in file from the previous valid biometrics but may be it happened because I paid another biometric fee during the application filing.

Today I have got a letter from IRCC saying "We are please to inform that you meet the sponsors requirements bla bla" and this looks like only a letter of confirmation of eligibility. Also said in letter if you have deferred the Right of Permanent Residence Fee then please pay it now but in my case I already have paid all fees.

Moreover that we have provided already police certificates from Canada and Back home so it looks like the case is all complete. Someone told me that they have experienced faster processing for parents already in Canada and its likely one year or less. Fingers Crossed

Not guaranteed faster processing if already in Canada. Really depends on the specific case and as quotas have decreased wait times have increased. There were a few years where quotas were extremely high so that lead to faster processing. If your mother entered on a supervisa she can continue visiting as long as she still purchases supervisa insurance annually. Whether processing takes 1 year or 3 years you are still extremely lucky to have the chance to sponsor your parent.
