Hello Community..
Filling Form IMM5669...
About government positions or working for government...

I worked for a government company, not in my home country but abroad. My responsibilities were purely linguistic (translation); providing translation of documents, reports, correspondence, etc. I did not hold any government position, nor did I possess any political authority, security clearance or decision-making power.

In light of the above, should this still be considered as a government position?
Should I fill the section related to government positions? Should I fill the other form and provide CV/resume?

Initially, when I submitted my PR application, I did not mention this, because I was 100% sure that this job (as translator) is purely administrative.

However, after I received the email from IRCC yesterday.. I started to re-think about it...
=================

Another question about military service: In my home country, there was conscription for males. However, I left my home country before doing any military service. Should I mention this to IRCC under the military section of this form IMM 5669?

When I initially submitted my PR application, I put (NONE) in the military section. However, I did not provide any explanation about that I did not have any conscription nor any military service at all.
==============

If I initially did the right thing and I don't have to re-submit this form, do you think that it is necessary to provide the above clarification in a letter of explanation?

I don't want any ambiguity. I don't want to find myself in any position of suspected misrepresentation..

Please advise. Thank you!

I have another important question about this form 5669:

In filling the addresses: My understanding that I should mention the home address where I have lived over the last 10 years (or after turning 18).

However, if I visited a country for 2 or 3 weeks for tourism, should I mention this in this form?

I feel more and more confused..

The address history section is intended to show where you lived. Short tourist trips of a few weeks generally do not need to be entered as separate addresses. Continue listing your normal residential address during that time and make sure there are no gaps in the timeline. If IRCC requests a travel history, those trips should be disclosed there.

You generally need to list the places where you actually lived, short tourist trips (2–3 weeks) normally do not need to be added to your address history. But if you stayed somewhere for several months or temporarily lived in another country, that address should generally be included.

Thank you @StandFree and @appwarez
Yes, this is what I did..

Actually after posting here, I asked Gemini.. Pretty much said the same.. For short visits (even for few weeks) no need to be included in Addresses..

I asked Gemini also about the government position, to which it replied that Yes, I have to update form 5669 to reflect the fact that I worked for a government company. It does not matter what position I held, as long as it is a government-owned entity, it has to be declared. So I updated the form, I provided a detailed CV and I filled form IMM 0149.

Form IMM5669 is maybe the most important among all forms. If an officer is in doubt or not 100% sure about any background information, the file may get 'stuck'. So, it is much better to provide additional information and clarification just to help officers get the information they are looking for.
